RUTH B. (GROSS) POTTS

Age 92, of West Mifflin, on November 7, 2017. She was born November 18, 1924, in Ambridge, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Pfoff) Gross. She was a former bank teller for Mellon Bank and retired after 17 years as an admitting clerk at Montefiore Hospital. She was a proud graduate of Munhall High School Class of 1942 and often talked about the attack on Pearl Harbor. She also studied at Duff’s Business School. Beloved wife of the late George L. Potts; mother of Ray Potts of West Mifflin, Diane (Ron) Lombard of Murrysville and Carole R. Kruszka of Gilbert, AZ; grandmother of Adam Lombard, Benjy Lombard, Shamarene Donato, Tara (Fred) Herrmann, Aaron (Laura) Kruszka and Kimberley Mendoza; also numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Minnie, Helen, Elsie, Willie, Elmer, Albert, Eddie, Freddie and Rita; and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the MALOY - SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, PA 412-466-3300 where services will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Homestead Cemetery. As per Ruth’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, 1 N. Linden St., Duquesne, PA 15110.
