MSgt. Jack W. Moffatt, USAF Retired, age 95 of Greenock, formerly of Highland Grove, died peacefully on November 4, 2017, at UPMC McKeesport. Born August 25, 1922 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late John Charles Moffatt and Emma (Weaver) Moffatt.
Jack honorably served in both the United States Army Air Corps and the United States Air Force, including active combat in WWII. He is survived by his nieces, Christi and Susan Moffatt; nephews, Robert, Timothy and James Moffatt; many great nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Agnes Moffatt of Florida. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lillian Moffatt; brothers, Charles, Robert and William Moffatt; and nephew, William Moffatt. Private burial with military honors will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Arrangements are entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the AMVETS Department of Pennsylvania Service Foundation, 3-97 Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA 17003.
