Gerald J. Holderbaum, 83, of Irwin, died Saturday November 11, 2017 in Transitions Health Care, North Huntingdon. He was born August 10, 1934 in Hahntown, North Huntingdon Township, a son of the late Joseph and Charlotte (Bevan) Holderbaum and was also preceded in death by his son Troy L. Holderbaum. He was a retired truck driver having driven for SuperValu, Last Minute Leasing, and also as an independent trucker. He was a Marine veteran. Surviving is his wife of 61 years Marilyn J. Holderbaum; his daughter Jerri Holderbaum of North Versailles; his granddaughters Taylor (Drew) Reken and Paige (Michael) Zurenski; his great grandson William Zurenski; and sisters Evelyn Shivley of North Huntingdon and Sandra Gillespie of Virginia.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bruce Judy, officiating. Interment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff at Transitions Health Care for all the kind and compassionate care.
