Marion M. Jereb, age 91, of New Providence, New Jersey, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday March 24, 2016. He was born July 21, 1924 in McDonald, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Michael and Anna (Pajk) Jereb. He was an Army veteran that served in WW II, and was a past president of the 94th Infantry Division Association and a past commander of VFW post 781 in Irwin.

He retired after 20 years as an Assistant Treasurer at Ebasco Constructors Inc., in Lyndhurst, New Jersey that specialized in power plant construction. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Anna (Paulik) Jereb; and brother Charles Jereb. He is survived by his son William M. (Gayle) Jereb of Port Charlotte, Florida; grandchildren Catherine (Michael) Beardsley, Brianna Jereb and Alanna Jereb; great grandchildren Cadence and Evan Beardsley; and brother Joseph A. (Melba Kay) Jereb of Concord, North Carolina. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. Everyone will gather at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the West Newton Cemetery, 210 Vernon Drive, West Newton for the interment service with military honors. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Marion’s name to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, 31 Evans Terminal, Hillside, NJ 07205.
