Peggy M. Tomco, age 72, of Elizabeth, formerly of Port Vue, died February 18, 2019, at UPMC McKeesport. Born February 5, 1947, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Dolores (Hunter) Tomco Tucker.

Peggy retired from Community Life, where she took great pride in helping older adults to stay healthy. She also worked as a dispatcher for S&S Taxi and PA Coach Lines. Peggy enjoyed creating ceramics and she will always be remembered for her famous, "Thumb Print Cookies." She is survived by daughters, Patricia (Eugene) Vereb of Elizabeth and Tracy Ferry of McKeesport; grandchildren, Erin Ferry, Patrice Mains, Edward Ghrist and Nicole Ghrist; siblings, Barbara (Bill) Atkins of Port Vue, Wendy (Chuck) Bernath of McKeesport, Bonnie Sturkie of NC and Walter "Butch" (Debbie) Tucker of McKeesport; also many nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, February 21, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 until the time of blessing at 8 p.m. Inurnment will be in Round Hill Cemetery at a later date.
