Wilbur "Wimpy" Raymond Brown went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, May 8, 2020, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. He was born May 4, 1940, in McKeesport and was the son of the late Joseph L. and Sadie (Lagare) Brown and husband to the late Ernestine (Bolden) Brown.

Wimpy graduated from McKeesport High School. He was a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. Wimpy worked in the construction industry and retired from the Mosites Construction Bridge Division. He was a member of the American Legion and the former Post 666. He belonged to St. Paul AME Church and was a former trustee. Wimpy loved to work in the kitchen and do different jobs around the church until he was no longer able.
Wimpy leaves behind to cherish his memory, step-son, Keith (Lorraine) Bolden of Atlanta, GA; 9 grandchildren; brother, Herman Brown of McKeesport; cousin, Alonzo Brown of McKeesport, sister-in-law Susan Brown of McKeesport; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Wimpy was preceded in death by sisters, Viola Matthews, Pearl Brown, Annabelle Henry, and brother, Reverend David Brown.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
