John Fitzgerald Gross, 56, a resident of White Oak for 20 years, formerly of McKeesport passed away on Tuesday, June 9th, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born in McKeesport on May 29, 1964 to the late Eugene and Madeline Medved Gross. He is survived by his former wife and life-long friend Jane Stegman Gross, of White Oak, and their children; David C. (Jessica) Gross, of Elizabeth, and Shawn M. Gross, of White Oak. John also leaves behind his grandchildren; Emma Gross and Jackson Gross, sister Diane (Craig) Brooks, of Elizabeth, his nieces and nephews, and his cats Toby and Tucker. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. John was a member of the St. Angela Roman Catholic Church in White Oak, and was employed by Don Farr Moving and Storage as a truck driver.  John was a man that enjoyed eating, loved cats, fishing, crime shows, and napping. He was a man that was a loyal helper, a joker, and he will be missed dearly by all that knew him. Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 9am to 12:00 noon at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. A service will take place at the funeral home at 12:00 noon on Friday to be followed by interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Vue. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to defray costs.  Online condolences may be offered at www.finneyfuneralhome.com.
