Ann Kemp, age 89 of Oakmont, formerly of White Oak, died on Saturday, January 2, 2021. She was born in Altoona on December 13, 1931 and is the daughter of the late Monroe and Edna Edgein Eckroth and the wife of the late George R. Kemp.

She graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Elementary Education, she taught elementary education in various states as well as in McKeesport Area School District. She and her husband, George, owned and operated the Fishers of Men Christian Book Store in McKeesport. She loved thrift shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by daughter; Susan Kemp Frey of Seven Fields, son; Christopher (Beth) Kemp of West Newton, grandchildren; Heather (Chris) Luczki, Stephanie (Will) Anderson, Nathan Frey, and Rebecca Frey; great grandchildren; Chase, Ryan, Asher, Aaron and Brita. She was preceded in death by grandson, Michael Kemp.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) from 10:00 am until the time of services at Noon. Burial to follow.

Remembrances can be made in Ann’s name to Presbyterian Senior Care Network ,1215 Hulton Rd, Oakmont, PA 15139.
