Edmund Chiaverini, age 97, of McKeesport, died January 12, 2021. Born January 1, 1924, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Louis and Mary (Ferry) Chiaverini and the husband of the late Elizabeth A. (DeFelice) Chiaverini.
Edmund was retired from US Steel, where he was a maintenance supervisor. Edmund was a WWll US Army veteran and served in Central Burma as part of the 3150th Signal Service Company. A member of the Mary Mother of God Parish, Edmund had a deep love of major league baseball, the New York Yankees, and watching old reruns of Columbo and Gunsmoke.

He is survived by his children, Karen Lumpkin of McKeesport, and Louis Chiaverini of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Danny (Sunnie) Lumpkin of Cincinnati, OH, and Jason Lumpkin of Pittsburgh; great-grandchildren, Brandon Lumpkin and Madeline Lumpkin; sister, Rose Chiaverini of McKeesport; nephews, Frank Chiaverini and Eddie Chiaverini; niece, Linda Sabo: great nieces, Clair Kightlinger, Frances Chiaverini, Ann Chiaverini, Rachel Branson and great nephews, Martin Sabo and John Chiaverini.

In addition to his wife and parents, Edmund, was also preceded in death by his brothers, Albert and Frank.

Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, January 14, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m. A blessing service will be celebrated on Friday, at 12:30 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Committal prayers and burial will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery.
