Donald “Don” F. Ditter, age 85, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021. He was born May 31, 1935 in McKeesport, a son of the late Fredrick and Mildred Ditter. He was an Air Force veteran that went onto work his entire career as a welder for U.S. Steel before retiring. He had a passion for coaching NCAA midget Football and supporting his daughter’s swimming teams. He also enjoyed spending Wednesday nights watching his son and friends bowl and would never miss one of his granddaughter's softball games.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Cecilia Ditter; and daughter Tammy Blackwood. He is survived by his son Donald “Dirt” (Dana) Ditter of Trafford; grandchildren Kolin and Megan Ditter; son-in-law John Blackwood; sister-in-law Anita (Robert) Minnix of Richmond, Virginia; nephews Christopher and Carter Minnix; and his dog Bailey. Friends and family will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. Everyone will gather at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m. for a funeral service with Rev. Sang officiating.
