Richard “Ricky” Alan Flohr, Sr., age 66, of Port Vue died unexpectedly at home on July 21, 2016. Born December 29, 1949 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Paul and Anne (Feterik) Flohr and is the husband of Jean Flohr. Ricky worked at Dura Bond as a foreman and pipe loader. He loved working on cars and helping his daughters anytime they had car trouble. He was a man always willing to help someone in need.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Lisa Marie, of McKeesport, Serena Ann, of McKeesport, Samantha Jean (Bill Ryan), of North Huntingdon, Kelly Renee (Rob Britt), of McKeesport, and Richard Alan Flohr, Jr., of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Kelsey Wirbicki, Gabrielle Costanzo, Kyley Savage, Shayley, Keevon, and Shyaire Flohr, Christopher Burton, Vincent Wirbicki, Jr., Zaiden Flohr, and Cody Ryan; siblings, Beverly Brooks of Florida and Paul “Skip” (Fran) Flohr, of Portland, ME, and Elizabeth “Libby” Smith of, Boston; mother-in-law, Gladys Kelley, of McKeesport and also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Raymond Flohr. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 2-4 and 6 until the time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. Fr. Donald Voss will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral costs.
