Margaret (Peggy) Patton, age 93, of Glassport, died March 22, 2021, at Artis Senior Living of South Hills. Born June 27, 1927, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late James and Florence (Battles) McRae and the wife of Pastor Walter E. Patton, Jr. Margaret was a homemaker. A United Methodist by faith, she worshipped with her husband and supported his ministry in the many communities he served. Most recently, she attended West Side United Methodist Church.
In addition to her beloved husband, Margaret is survived by children, Cynthia (James) Hatfield of Bethel Park and Walter III (Erna) of Mammoth; six grandchildren, Beth (Bret) Noroski, Jeremy (Sherri) Hatfield, Lindsay (Aaron) Gibson, Jason (Jenn) Patton, Joshua, and Justin (Jesse) Patton; great-grandchildren, Emmalynn, and Easton Patton and Madison Hatfield; also nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Margaret was also preceded in death by sister, Florence Rushe. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, March 26, 2021, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday afternoon, 1 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pleasant Hills.
