Mark A. Heider, age 68, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, April 8, 20201. He was born May 29, 1952 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John and Dorothy “Evelyn” Forsyth. Mark was a 1970 graduate of Scott High School. He was an Army veteran that served for over three years including time in Korea, and then continued serving additional time in the Army National Guard.

After his active duty time, he work for over 35 years as a steel worker before retiring. He was a member of the VFW post 781 in Irwin and was a past member of the volunteer Fire Department in North Braddock Ward #1. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother-in-law Eugene McAdams.

He is survived by his wife of over 43 years Carla A. Heider; sons John (Amie) Heider of Jamestown and Timothy Heider of North Huntingdon; grandchildren Sydney and Kennedy; brother Gordon (Marguerite) Heider of Kentucky; sister Sandie McAdams of Monroeville; and his dog Peanut. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, 412-823-8083.
