Frank J. Jerina, 83, of Irwin went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday August 7, 2016. He was born November 12, 1932 in Herminie, a son of the late Joseph and Frances (Vozel) Jerina and was also preceded in death by his wife Clara F. (Hopkinson) Jerina and siblings, Joseph and Donald Jerina, Fran Zunic, and Mary Wood. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a retired engineer for Westinghouse Airbrake Co., Wilmerding, a member of Word of Life Ministries, Greensburg, and the VFW and the S.N.P.J. Lodge both of Herminie.

He was a very devoted Christian who loved the Lord and his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his children Joanie (Ed) Dovyak of Greensburg, Judy Napper (fiancé Paul Stetzer) of Glenshaw, Frank Jerina of North Huntingdon and Amy Graft of Irwin; grandchildren Aaron Dovyak (Chelsea Carpenter), Alysha (Brandon) Sweitzer, Mercer (Julia) Napper, Matthew (Diana) Napper, Jonathon Jerina, Madison Jerina, Mandy Graft (fiancé Ron Hendrickson) and David Graft; great granddaughter Vaida Napper; his brother Edward (Joanne) Jerina of Jeannette; also nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200 where everyone will gather for a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to Word of Life Ministries, 4497 Rt. 136, Greensburg, PA 15601.
