Joseph Edward Kish, age 95, of Port Vue, died on Saturday, September 4, 2021. He was born in Port Vue on September 5, 1925 and is the son of the late Kathryn Cverna Kish and the husband of the late Helen Yaga Kish, married 64 years, who passed away on January 2, 2016. Joseph was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Co as a draftsman, and then formed his own company in Forest Hills. He was a lifetime member of St. Marks Parish (St. Joseph Port Vue) and a member of the American Legion Post 0447 in Port Vue for over 55 years.

He is survived by children, Marcia (Greg) Lombardo of Port Vue; Joseph “Jo-Jo” Kish of Port Vue; James (Denise) Kish of Wheeling, WV; David (Sharon) Kish of Port Vue; grandchildren, Amber (Jacob) Bock; Ashlee Lombardo; Caitlyn (Michael) Mistick; James (Kelsey) Kish; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Hannah Bock; Alexa Lombardo; Emma and Sadie Mistick; Louie James and Molly Kish; and many beloved cousins. In addition to his mother and wife, Joseph was preceded in death by his brother Howard Kish.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at Saints Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Eugene Church, 3210 Liberty Way, Liberty Boro, PA 15133. Burial will follow.

The family and our team members appreciate that all visitors follow safety guidelines, including wearing masks and social distancing. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding. The family also wants everyone to know that they completely understand if anyone is not comfortable with visiting and paying respects during this pandemic.
