John E. Nedley, 78, of Penn, died Tuesday August 30, 2016. He was born June 14, 1938 in Hempfield Township, a son of the late William and Rose Marie (Dreistadt) Nedley. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers William and Paul Nedley. John was a 1956 graduate of Jeannette High School, an Air Force Veteran that served during the Vietnam Conflict, and a retired foreman at General Tire, Jeannette.

He is survived by his wife of over 59 years Adele K. (Michael) Nedley; his children John M. (Shula) Nedley of Greentree, Patrick J. (Kim) Nedley of North Huntingdon, Shawn W. (Jannie) of Cranberry Township, and Addie K. Nedley of Penn; grandchildren John C., Robert and Alyssa Nedley, Samantha and Stefan Sadock, Tia Ann Wade, Kali, Connor, Cree, and Troy Nedley; great grandchildren Abraham Wade and Declan Costella; his sister Rosemary (Mike) Capar of Florida; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200 where a Blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with Father Arnel Estrella officiating.
