Stephen Shufran, age 93 of N. Versailles, died Thursday, September 8, 2016. He was born in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania on January 5, 1923, the son of the late Frank and Catherine (Maruschak) Shufran; husband of the late Wilda G. Shufran. He was a WWII Navy veteran, a design engineer for US Steel until he retired, then was a school bus driver for Laidlaw for 20 years.

He is survived by sons, Timothy A. (Luanne) Shufran of Ashburn, VA and Clyde (Claudia) Shufran of Gilbert, AZ; daughters, Cathy (Bill) Koesters of Cincinnati, OH, Marlene Stabile of N. Huntingdon, and Paula Fletcher of N. Versailles; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Andrew, Frank, Donald, Alexander, Kenneth and Gregory; sisters, Barbara Shufran, Madeline Mehallow, Patricia Sudik, Verone Hill, Kathleen Stone and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his sisters Mary Raymond, Pauline Shufran and two infants Judy and John.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 13th from 10 am until the time of Burial Service at 12 noon, at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, Inc. 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor) 412-678-6177.
