Lynch, Leonard J., age 80, of Port Vue, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, after an automobile accident this past Saturday. He was born in Wall, PA on Jan. 14, 1936 and was the son of the late Charles and Viola Tyburski Lynch.
He retired as an engineer from the Westinghouse Plant Apparatus Division. He served in the Army during Vietnam, was a member of St. Mark Parish where he volunteered at the annual festival and fish fry, a member of the Port Vue American Legion Post #447, and the Glassport PNA. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Doris Tutko Lynch (his Toots); siblings, Henry (Barbara) Lynch of West Mifflin, Eugene (Virginia) Lynch of Springfield, VA, Eleanor Nigro of Munhall, brothers-in-law, Michael (Margaret) Tutko of White Oak, Thomas (Adele) Tutko of S. Pasadena, FL; aunt, Helen Popovic of Port Vue and uncle, Arthur Hartos of W. Mifflin; many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Delores Gabany and brother, Carl Lynch. Friends will be received on Friday, September 23rd from 3-7pm at Striffler’s of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc. 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15132 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor) 412-678-6177. Mass will be held on Saturday, September 24th at 10 AM at St. Mark Parish, 3210 Liberty way, Liberty Boro, PA 15133 with Father Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
