Ethelda D. Brownfield, age 63, of McKeesport, died September 23, 2022, at home.  Born May 23, 1959, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of Norma (Brownfield) Long and the late James Long and wife of Russell Matesig for 40 years.  Ethelda was known for her endearing and infectious personality.  She had a beautiful singing voice, and anyone who listened was always in awe of her talent.  Ethelda loved to shop and would be on the lookout for deals on clothing, shoes, and jewelry to add to her fashionable collection.

In addition to her husband Russell, she is survived by a son James (Timara) Brownfield; siblings, Sherri Fennell-Brownfield, Patty (Ron) Hamilton, and James Long, Jr.; nephews and nieces, Dennis Cash, Jr., Latris Cash, Tika Brownfield, Latoya Brownfield, Jiahona Long, Devin Long, Journey Long, and Jersey Long.  She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her fur babies.  Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, October 3, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at Noon.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com.
