Mark Cibrowski
Obituaries | The Tube City Almanac | March 09, 2026

Mark’s passion for poker brought him immense joy and fostered a sense of camaraderie among his friends. Beyond his love for poker, he was a steadfast pillar of his community, always ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed. He is survived by his siblings, Daniel Cibrowski, Tammy Hayes, and his lifelong friends, the Stanislaw family, whom he had known for over 50 years.
Over the years, Mark engaged in spirited debates over theological and political issues. He had a genuine interest in matters concerning the Christian faith. He was like one of the birds of the air described in the gospels, cared for by the many people who extended charity to him in his time of need. He was a member of the Holy Trinity youth group in the seventies and occasionally went on field trips to Ohio Pyle State Park for whitewater rafting adventures. Mark also enjoyed being outdoors and loved nature.
His love for music was primarily classic rock from the ‘70s and ‘80s. His top bands were Genesis, Styx, and Kansas, all of which he had attended concerts many times.
Mark was a devoted member of Christy Park Methodist Church, where he found solace and connection with his faith and community. In honor of his life, a memorial service will be held at Christy Park Methodist Church on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow the service at the church.
We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Mark’s life and legacy at this special gathering. Arrangements have been entrusted to S.M. Finney Funeral Home, located at 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Marks’ GoFundMe to cover funeral expenses. https://gofund.me/c377c3af3
