Donald F. Ivan, age 93, of Glassport, PA, passed away surrounded by his loving family at UPMC East on April 12, 2026. Born in McKeesport, PA on August 21, 1932, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Mary Moseh Ivan. Donald proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a stator stripper for Westinghouse Electric. He coached for many years in the Glassport slow pitch league. He was a life long sports fan of the black and gold. One of his favorite hobbies was cutting the grass and keeping his yard beautiful. He was a devoted husband and family man. Donald and Mary Lou would have celebrated 62 years of marriage on May 2nd.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his grandson, Donivan Komarnisky; his brother, William (the late Connie) Ivan; and sister, Mary Ann Ivan.
Donald’s love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He was an amazing man whose kindness touched so many lives.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of life on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Striffler's of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Saints Joachim and Anne Parish, Saint Eugene Church, 3210 Liberty Way, Liberty Borough, PA 15133.
