Pearl Pavelko, 90 of Liberty Borough, died August 28, 2017 at St. Clair Hospital. Born June 2, 1927 in Duquesne, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Barbara Greso and wife of the late Joseph Pavelko.
Pearl was a licensed beautician and worked for U.S. Steel in Production Planning for 38 years and retired at the age of 58. She was always active at St. Mark Parish where she taught 6th grade CCD, was a member of the Ladies of Charity and Christian Mothers and also served as a Eucharistic Minister. She volunteered her time at Kane Regional Medical Center and attended Sun Shiner’s once a month. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by her siblings, James, Julius, William, and Albert Greso and Margaret (Greso) Riczu. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 10 a.m. at St. Mark Parish, Liberty Borough.
