Mary Lou Chontos, age 82, of Port Vue, died July 25, 2019, at UPMC McKeesport. Born January 9, 1937, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late William and Frances (Markwood) Coulter and the wife of the late Alex J. "Jeff" Chontos, Jr.

Mary Lou retired from the Borough of Port Vue, where she was a crossing guard. She also worked at Riverside Nursing Home, as a nurses aide. She was a member of St. Mark Parish of Port Vue. Mary Lou cherished the time she spent with family and friends. Her favorite pastime was sitting on her porch having a good conversation.
She is survived by her children, Terri (William) Loeffler, Cris (Tim) Black, Lyn (Barry) Little and Alexis (Edward) Valenta; grandchildren, Michael, Bryan, Steven, Timothy and Jamie; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Lyric, Gabriel and Caleb; siblings, Jack Coulter of West Mifflin, Richard Coulter, Linda Margetto both of FL and Sue (Kenneth) Kyser of NC; also nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary Lou was also preceded in death by daughters, Amy Chontos and Sherry Krusienski; siblings, Ann McNulty, William Coulter and Betty Magyar.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, July 29, 2019, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10 a.m., at St. Mark Parish of Port Vue. Committal prayers and burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
For someone who didn't drive, she sure did get around. Mary Lou's family would like to thank everyone who had given her a ride over the years.
