Robert Charles Sullinger, age 73, of White Oak, formerly of McKeesport, died January 15, 2016, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born March 4, 1942, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Herbert A. and Gertrude (Bilz) Sullinger and the husband of Patricia (Rubbo) Sullinger. Robert was a retired Federal Government employee and before that he worked at Pittron, as a customer service representative. He was a US Marine veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and a shootist.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by children, Shannon (Wayne) Dowling of White Oak and Bobbie Lynn (Chad Susan) Sullinger of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Connor, Kaleb, Peyton, Dorian and Nolan; sisters, Judith Baur of McKeesport and Cheryl Nathan of Philadelphia; also many nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016, at Saint Colman, 100 Tri-Boro Ave., Turtle Creek, PA 15145, at 9:30 a.m., with Rev. James E. Kunkel officiating.
Inurnment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
