Donn Kight, 93, of Elizabeth, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. He was born August 1, 1931 and was the son of the late Clarence Lehr and Mildred (Mutterer) Kight. He was the loving husband of the late Janet "Dawn" Kight, who passed away on May 4, 2004. Donn was a US Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. He was involved with Round Hill Church as an elder, member of the choir, food pantry volunteer, "Around the Hill" newsletter staff, youth fellowship, and the strawberry festival. He loved watching movies, especially "Gone with the Wind," which he had an entire room dedicated in his house for memorabilia. He loved animals, especially his best friend, Lucy, a golden retriever, and he would always feed stray cats. He also loved painting, drawing, shopping, and decorating for the holidays.

Donna L. Steinkopf, age 82 of North Huntingdon, died May 28, 2025, at Excela Westmoreland Hospital. She was born February 23, 1943, in Duquesne, a daughter of the late Donald and Elizabeth Maraz Smith. Donna was a graduate of Duquesne High School Class of 1960. Over the years, she enjoyed going to lunch with the girls she graduated with. She was also a graduate of Pittsburgh Beauty Academy and worked for several years as a stylist. She enjoyed word searches and, politics. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and her fur babies, Bailey, Willow and Honey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl F. Steinkopf in 2004., an infant daughter Stacy, a brother, Wilbur Smith, a sister, Phyllis Senato. She is survived by her beloved children, son Carl F. Steinkopf Jr., (Tina) a daughter Lisa A. Steinkopf, 4 grandchildren, Storm Steinkopf (Shelby), Kyle Steinkopf, Cassidy Palo (Nick) and Chance Steinkopf (Strykar ), 4 great grandchildren, Colton, Joey, Grace, Hallie, brother Dale Smith (Carolyn) brother-in-law, James Senato, numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home Inc, Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon, on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Harry dedicated many years of his life as a draftsman at Westinghouse, where he often spoke fondly of the camaraderie he found with his colleagues. He was also a proud United States Army veteran, serving his country during the Korean War. He is survived by his children David (Cindy) Colonna of Belle Mead, NJ, Annette (Frank) Kuyan of Bethlehem, Jean (Pete) Pepe of Bethlehem, and Louis (Christina) Colonna of Flemington, NJ, his eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Gigi was preceded in death by his five siblings: Paris, Velario, Pete, Mario, and Maria. Gigi was a member of Clairton High School Class of 1952. He worked for US Steel and Beckman Engineering before becoming the owner/proprietor of Tess-Com, Inc. Gigi was an avid traveler, experiencing most of the world in his lifetime. He was also a dedicated accordion player, never missing a chance to entertain his family and friends with beautiful music.

Dolores J. Batch, born on June 8, 1934, was the daughter of the late Howard and Hannah Geraldine (Anderson) Sterling. She grew up on Blaine Hill, Elizabeth Township, PA, and graduated from Glassport High School and the University of Pittsburgh.

She attended Allen Chapel in Elizabeth in her youth, and then St. Paul A.M.E. of McKeesport became her church home while she raised her children. Later, she joined the Calvary United Methodist Church of McKeesport where she served as Trustee, Sunday school teacher, and was on the Pastor Parish Relation Committee and the financial board. She helped with many church events and spearheaded raising over $5,000 for a well in Ghana, Africa which was named “The Jasper Well” in honor of her grandfather Jasper Sterling, a well that is still thriving today. She is currently a member of the Garden City United Methodist Church.

Dolores always said that her “God gift” was sewing. Her love for sewing started in childhood and never left her. Her sewing abilities touched not only her family, friends, and church, but also her loyal customers throughout the United States, and even into Ghana, Africa. All were blessed by her talent. She was also an assistant teacher, then a teacher for the Louise Child Care Center of Pittsburgh, the McKeesport Child Care Center, and the Homestead Child Care Center.

Judy (Dupar) Sturdevant, age 86, of Irwin, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025. She was born in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Alfred and Marion (Biggs) Dupar – “Meme and Pop.” To the family, Judy was the most devoted and caring wife and mom, always making time for the ones she loved. She was known fondly as “Mema” to her grandchildren and “Aunt JuJu” to her nieces and nephews. Judy loved life and shared her joy and kindness with many wonderful friends. She and dad loved to travel, especially beach vacations with the family at Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach. She had a strong faith in God and was a long-time member of West Hempfield Presbyterian Church. She loved to golf in the “Loosey-Goosey” women’s golf league at the Madison Club. Judy had a love of animals and always had hugs and treats for her “grand dogs” Casey, Flurry, Ranger and Maggie. She worked for over 30 years as a stenographer and owned her own business, SmartCounsel Court Reporters. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Nancy Harter. She is survived by her loving husband of over 67 years William “Bill” Sturdevant; children Susan (Michael) Gogol of Irwin, Craig Sturdevant of Godwin, North Carolina and Shelley (Mark) Verdun of Irwin; grandchildren Stephen (Wendy) Gogol, David (Laurie) Gogol, Cory Sturdevant and Julia (David) Haak; and great grandchildren Benson and Archer Gogol and Emma and Elly Sturdevant; and many close nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to join Judy’s Celebration of Life at the West Hempfield Presbyterian Church on Friday, May 30th from 3 p.m. till time of memorial service at 6 p.m. Her dear friend, the Reverend Peggy Shannon will be officiating.
