Joseph J. "Jo Jo" Kish, age 68, of Port Vue, died November 8, 2022, at AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born February 19, 1954, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Helen (Yaga) Kish.
Jo Jo was retired from Port Vue Plumbing, Inc., where he was a plumber and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66. Jo Jo attended Saints Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Eugene Church of Liberty Borough. He was a classic car enthusiast and attended many NASCAR races up and down the East Coast. Jo Jo was also a sports fan. He especially enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Penguins. Jo Jo's greatest love was hunting and fishing.

Ruth Jean Lyons, age 93, of McKeesport, died November 8, 2022, at UPMC East. Born July 31, 1929, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late William George and Ruth (Dodds) Wisser and the wife of the late John Thomas Lyons.
Ruth dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was a member of the First Evangelical Free Church of McKeesport, where she was involved with the Senior Achievers, Grief Share, and White Cross. Ruth was also a member of the Garden Club and Norwin Community Center. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and sewing. Ruth also cared for her health and environment. She would always tidy up her neighborhood during her walks in her early years. She will always be remembered for her famous homemade chicken noodle soup. Ruth's greatest joy was square dancing and round dancing with her beloved husband.

Mary Catherine (O'Toole) Gorman, 83, of McKeesport, passed away peacefully at Presbyterian Hospital on Sunday, November 6, 2022, after an extended illness.
Born November 30, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA to Tom and Ann (Lynch) O'Toole, of Galway and Mayo, Ireland. Mary Kay grew up in Greenfield the older sister of Jim O'Toole (deceased). A St. Rosalia's graduate, she competed on their celebrated girls basketball team. Tom Monahan employed her as a secretary at his Greenfield Insurance Co., while introducing her to Gene Gorman.

James W. "Jim" Corbett, age 78, of North Versailles, died November 2, 2022, at AHN Forbes Hospital after a long battle with lung cancer. Born December 16, 1943, in Braddock, he was the son of the late Michael and Virginia (Defibaugh) Corbett and husband and of 56 years to his childhood sweetheart, Laura (Gallagher) Corbett. Jim served in the U.S. Navy from 1961-1967 on the USS Rich as a boiler maker. After his honorable discharge, he began a career in the Steel Industry, where he worked for 19 years, and ended his career with LTV Steel as a Foreman. Jim never wanted to retire and was an extremely hard worker, which he continued as an OTR driver for Green Valley Cleaners and finally worked as the caretaker of the North Versailles Community Center throughout his chemotherapy. Jim was a Volunteer Fireman with the Green Valley Volunteer Fire Department and past Fireman of the Year. As an avid Pirates and Steelers fan, he was known as an armchair coach. He enjoyed listening to just about any music and dancing with his wife when they were young. Jim spent his time bowling in leagues at Great Valley Lanes, playing cards, video games, playing the lottery, playing corn hole, making people laugh, and fishing with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. He fished many local spots, such as Twin Lakes, Turtle Creek, Renzie Park, Indian Lake, and Keystone Lake. One of the most important things to Jim was taking care of his family and ensuring they had everything they needed.

Robert J. Kelly, age 77, of Versailles, died October 27, 2022, at UPMC Magee Hospital. Born August 21, 1945, in Latrobe, he was the son of the late Benjamin Kelly and Loretta Ploszay and husband of Faye (Daugherty) Kelly for 32 years.
Robert retired as a General Laborer with Westinghouse Airbrake Company. A life long Steelers fan, he always wore his favorite Steelers hat to show his team pride and liked watching basketball. He enjoyed puzzles and woodworking and collecting light houses. Robert was a member of the First Christian Church in McKeesport and also in the choir. He also set duck pins for many years in Clairton and McKeesport.

Samuel Grese, age 91, of Port Vue, died October 26, 2022, peacefully at home. Born July 29, 1931, in Clairton, he was the son of the late Francis and Jennie Grese and husband of the late Virginia A. Grese.
Sam retired as a Maintenance Supervisor from the Fisher Body Division of General Motors Corp. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Sam was a member of the Sons of Italy. He enjoyed woodworking, dancing, and admiring classic GM cars in his younger years. Sam was a long-time Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Sam is survived by his son, Jay (Kimberly) Lang of White Oak; grandchildren, Michael, Jason, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Samuel, Lily, Rose, Hayden, Lilah and Leo.

Tyler was currently working for Dollar Tree as the Assistant Manager of Glassport. He was a member of Club 46 of Clairton. Tyler enjoyed fishing, hunting, video gaming, and working on automobiles. He loved animals and left behind his loyal pet dog, "Bowser."

William A. "Fuzzy" Brooks, age 96, of White Oak, died October 21, 2022, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born February 15, 1926, in Duquesne, he was the son of the late Matthew and Nellie Brooks and husband of the late Arlene Brooks.
Fuzzy was a Staff Sergeant in the Army during World War II. He was wounded in Germany and received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for his service. After his honorable discharge, Fuzzy began his civilian career with U.S. Steel as a millwright and retired in 1985. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoyed watching the Steelers and Pirates.
He is survived by a son, Jon (Cindy Capp) Brooks.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Angela of Merici Church, Mary Mother of God Parish. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Vue.

Geroge W. Evans, Jr., age 67, of Port Vue, died October 19, 2022, at home. Born December 23, 1954, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late George W. Evans Sr. and Dorothy (Billy) Evans. George attended Penn State University and started his career with Westinghouse. He later went to work with Fisher Body in West Mifflin for over 30 years as a die maker. George was a self-taught musician who could play the keyboard but especially enjoyed the guitar. He owned two boats and spent time fishing with friends at his favorite spot, Cross Creek Lake in Washington County. George was an amateur locksmith, held a pilot's license, rode motorcycles, and was a jack of all trades. He followed in his father's footsteps and received his HAM Radio License and even was able to use his dad's old call sign of W3HOB.

Evelyn "Nana" Putz age 98, of Pickerington, OH, formally of McKeesport, died October 16, 2022, at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor. Born September 30, 1924, in Homestead, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Katherine Wesoloski and the wife of the late Andrew A. Putz for 44 years.
Evelyn retired from Franklin's Market as a cashier. She graduated from Homestead High School. Evelyn was a former member of St. Mary Czestochowa Parish and helped with Sunday School for over 20 years. She was an avid reader of short stories and enjoyed doing the NY Times crossword puzzles.
