Brenda Joyce Donelson, one day after Resurrection Sunday, April 6, 2026, Jesus in His infinite wisdom called Brenda Joyce home to eternal peace.
Brenda Joyce Donelson, 64, was born on October 11, 1961, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. She was the beloved daughter of the late John and Sadie Ruth Donelson.
She was a proud 1979 graduate of McKeesport Senior High School. Brenda gave birth to her beloved son, Darius Maurice Donelson (born February 6, 1992), who was truly her pride and joy. She was also blessed with her grandson, Darius Donelson Jr. ( born April 5, 2019), who brought tremendous joy to her life. Brenda was known as a hard-working, dedicated woman, often described as a workaholic. She worked at McKeesport Hospital, the Marriott Hotel, and later became an entrepreneur, owning and operating her own cleaning business. She was also known as an exceptional cook, with her famous lasagna being a favorite among family and friends. Most importantly, Brenda was a born-again servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and an active member of Trinity Church of God in Christ, where she faithfully served on the Usher Board. Through her cleaning business, she also lovingly helped maintain the church under the leadership of Bishop James M. Foster. Connie L. Steck Schade, age 66 of Irwin, passed away on April 13, 2026. She was born June 23, 1959, a daughter of Robert and Dolores Ray Steck. Connie grew up in North Irwin, and she was a Norwin High School graduate in the class of 1977. She was employed by Health Center Hospital Service Corporation with 18 years of service. She continued her education at WCCC and later worked as a production manager for H.C.S.C Corporation of Pittsburgh. Spending two years at H.L.S.F. as a supervisor, she finished her career out at H.C.S.C Corp. She loved spending time with her granddaughters and was a very active sports fan, enjoyed running, walking and gardening. Other enjoyments were going to Florida with her parents and swimming in the gulf. She loved watching her son grow up and spending time at all his sports events. Steeler games, her animals and planting flowers were other things she cherished. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Irwin and the Moose Lodge 236 , Irwin. She was preceded in death by the late Robert Steck in 2005 and Dolores Ray Steck in 2015 whom she loved and missed very much. She is survived by her son Matthew Paul Schade who meant the world to her, granddaughters, Paisley Hope Schade and Saige Taylor Hockman who brought so much joy and laughter. She will always love them. Also surviving is one brother, Robert, two sisters, Cheryl Ann and Barb, nephew Jason, nieces, Tammie, Terri, Tonya, Megan, and Melissa. A memorial service will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dystonia Foundation for further research on brain injuries. A special thank you to all of Connie’s doctors and therapists who have been so beneficial over the years. Also, a special thanks to all of her friends, and anyone who shared time throughout her life. Christine L. (Peterson) McGuire, 61, of Pittsburgh and Greenock, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026. She was born June 20, 1964, in McKeesport and was the daughter of Emily Peterson of Gainesville, FL, and the late Nolan Peterson. Christine attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1984 and earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Communications Marketing and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Point Park University. She was a member of numerous organizations, including but not limited to the Mon Yough River Council, Twilight Wish Foundation, Alzheimer's Association, 20th Century Club, and a founding member of the South Hills Community Connect.

Dorothy Jean Rushnock, age 103, of North Versailles, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, at Point Pleasant of North Versailles. Born on November 3, 1922, in Ligonier, PA, she was the cherished daughter of the late Charles Emery and Mabel (Miller) Smith and the beloved wife of the late Paul Thomas Rushnock.
Jean was truly a shining light in the lives of those around her. She dedicated her years to nurturing her home and family, and in her earlier days, she contributed her talents at Kennametal in Latrobe. Growing up on her family's farm in Lycippus, PA, she learned the value of hard work and the joys of simpler times.
A faithful member of Holy Family Polish National Catholic Church in McKeesport, Jean was actively involved in the Women's Society, earning a reputation as a proud "Pierogi Pincher." Her passions included crafting, playing piano for her church community, also an avid seamstress. She loved tending to her beautiful garden.
Jean is survived by her children, Neil (Karen) Rushnock and Paula (Charles) Hutsko; 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; also a niece and 3 nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Sellers Smith.

Janet B. (Smith) Temple, 85, of North Versailles, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born December 16, 1940 in Braddock, a daughter of the late Glenn and Elizabeth (Shavinsky) Smith, who owned and operated Smith’s Corner Store in East McKeesport. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step sister Patricia DiLucente and step brother Gary Davidson. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Mary Mother of God Parish, was a graduate of East McKeesport High School class of 1958, and was the former Mother’s Club president of Boy Scout Troop #85. Prior to her retirement Janet worked as an office administrator for 20 years in Glassport for in Dr. Sang E. Lee. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed horseback riding, her Borzoi dogs, loved the music of Elvis Presley, and belonged to his fan club. She is survived by her husband Lloyd M. Temple, children Michael S. Temple (Julie Harbin) of Notasulga, AL, Chris (Lisa) Temple of State College, Jennifer (Sean) Edwards of Level Green; grandchildren Rachael Temple, Kyle Temple (Kaylin), Brianna (Tim) Ruhle, Sean (Kim) Edwards, Ryan Edwards, Casey (Kile) Webb, Erin Temple (Brian Fannin), Kelsey Temple, and Emily Temple (Chris Ledbetter); great grandchildren Mark Pamer, Asher Pamer, Kaden Temple, Karsyn Temple, Killian Webb, Maeve Edwards, and Breelyn Fannin; her brother Glenn (Beverly) Smith of Monroeville, and nieces and nephews. Born June 26, 1933 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Klukaszewski) Daczkowski. A former operator for Bell Telephone, Anna was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish. She is survived by her sons Mark (Marion) Galzerano of North Huntingdon and Paul (Cindy) Galzerano, and her grandson Jacob Galzerano. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Galzerano and son Eric Galzerano.

Nick "Uncle Jim" Mouring, age 73, of North Huntingdon, died April 6, 2026, at Forbes Hospital. Born May 10, 1952, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Harold E. and Donna (Mackey) Mouring.
Nick earned his Bachelor's Degree from California University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh, ultimately becoming a registered nurse. For over 50 years, he served the community as a compassionate caregiver at UPMC McKeesport Hospital, where he applied his deep knowledge and genuine care to improve the well-being of countless patients. His commitment to the nursing profession reflected his heart for helping others, a testament to his character and kindness. Uncle Jim was a regular presence at his nephews', great-nephew, and family friends' baseball games, where his enthusiasm and support were always evident.
