Jesse Lee Ingram 40, of Glassport, passed away on Tuesday March 03, 2020 at his place of employment in McKeesport. He was born in McKeesport on April 21, 1979 to his mother Sheryl LaFollette Ingram and father Joseph L. Ingram. Jesse was the loving husband to his wife and best friend Jessica L. Breitinger. Jesse is survived by his grandmother Barbara LaFollette of Clairton, his mother Sheryl Ingram and father Joseph L. Ingram of Port View, his brother Joseph (Cyndee Carroll) Ingram of Port View, his sister Jennifer (Yusef Rollins) Katana of Port View, his wife Jessica Breitinger of Glassport, and his three children, Alexis Ingram, Ashleigh Ingram, and Jesse Joseph Ingram of Monongahela, as well as his stepson Nicholas Uhren of Glassport. Jesse is also survived by his mother in law Linda Breitinger of Glassport and sister in law Jamie (Mark Fairbaugh Jr.) Breitinger of South Park. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Jesse LaFollette. Jesse was very passionate about Landscaping and gory zombie movies; he loved and cherished his furry best friend Loki, a Pitbull mix that he unwound with at the end of a rough shift. He was a member of the PNA club in Glassport. When Jesse wasn’t with his family and friends he was employed as a steel worker with Tygart steel and was a former lead deck hand for the barges that ran through the Monongahela River. Arnold, “Arnie” Earnest Mattes 76, of Clairton, formerly of Jefferson Borough passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh. Arnold was born in McKeesport on May 13, 1943 to the late Viola Edwards and Edward, Mattes. Arnold is survived by his son Lance (Judy) Mattes of Bethel park and his granddaughter Ashley Mattes. He is also survived by his two sisters Donna Kettish of Orlando Florida and Karen (Jeff) Dowd of Orlando Florida. He was a member of the Masons in Pleasant Hills at the F&AM lodge, the Syria Shrine, and he also attended the Lebanon Presbyterian Church. Arnold was a Project Engineer at the local #5 where he was employed for most of his life.  One of his favorite things to do in his down time was listen to oldies music. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday March 4, 2020 from 2-4pm, and 6-8pm at the S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. Michael Andy “Sam” Pavlocsak, 96, of Elizabeth, formerly of Clairton, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. He was born in Glassport to the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Pavlocsak on April 17, 1923. Michael was the loving husband to the late Helen Hall “Fig” Pavlocsak. He is survived by nieces; Etta Maitland of Concord, CA, Karen, Carol, and Anita, nephews; Edward E. Gilmore, M.D., of Bar Harbor, ME, and Michael, niece in-law Carol Gilmore of Virginia, and friend and caregiver Marie Papula. Michael was preceded in death by his wife Helen, and nephew Harry Gilmore. He was a member of the Wilson Presbyterian Church, and the Wilson Civic Group. Michael enjoyed Pittsburgh Sports, loved dogs, most notably Poochie and Bubba, and he loved and was loved by his family and friends. Mary Sue Parks O’Dell, 58, of Glassport passed away on Thursday February 27,2020 at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh. She was born in Rome New York on March 27, 1961 to the late Olive Phillips Parks and Arthur Parks. Mary was the loving wife of 33 years to the late David Anthony O’Dell. She is survived by her daughters Jennifer L. (Fernand) O’Dell of Glassport, Lisa (Justin) O’Dell of North Versailles and her son Steven Parks of Glassport. She is also survived by her three brothers Arthur Parks of Rome N.Y, Michael Parks of Rome N.Y, and Wayne Parks of Rome N.Y as well as her two sisters Janice Parks of Rome N.Y and Lisa Parks of Rome N.Y  She was a member of the Lutheran Church, and enjoyed computer games, crochet, chicken wings and coffee. Nikki A. Talovich Marcase, 73, of Elizabeth Township, formerly of Clairton for 35 years, passed away on Friday February 14, 2020 at the Mount Vernon Nursing Home. She was born in Allegheny County on June 12, 1946 to the late Nicholas and Mary Talovich. Nikki was the loving wife of 32 years to the late Russell Marcase. She is survived by her son Michael T. (Nancy) Dowden of Elizabeth and daughter Cathy (Craig) Oskin of Munhall. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren Justin Dowden of Cincinnati Ohio, Jessie Dowden of Greensburg and Trixie May Mahayag of Philadelphia Pa. Nikki was an R.N at Jefferson memorial as well as UPMC Presby where she loved to serve the patients she so deeply cared for. She was a member of Pine Run Methodist Church and enjoyed Gardening, arts and crafts, knitting, and dogs and cats as well as bird watching. Irene (Iski) “Galiyas” Kovalyak

Irene T. Kovalyak age 92, of West Mifflin died Friday, February 14, 2020 surrounded by her loving family and caregiver.  She was preceded in death by her first husband of 8 years, Mitchell Galiyas, and her second husband of 58 years George S. Kovalyak.  Born September 27, 1927 in New Alexandria, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andy and Irene (Kertes) Iski.  Irene is survived by her sons Mitch (Mary Jo) Galiyas of Kennedy Township, and George Kovalyak of West Mifflin and daughter Terri Michell (Kovalyak) of Bethel Park. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren Juliana (Mike) Carr of Robinson Township, Nathan (Amanda) Galiyas of Robinson Township, Father Zachary Galiyas of Kennedy Township, Moira (Mark) Cheeseman of Robinson Township, Kody Kovalyak of West Mifflin, and Lauren Michell of Bethel Park. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren; Michael and Roman Carr, as well as Whitney and Gavin Galiyas. She is survived by her 3 sisters, Joan Beckowitz of Conway S.C, Betty Anitori of Liberty Boro and Rose Zilich of Canonsburg. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Mary Bestwick and Ann Tomaino. Also preceded in death by her 5 brothers, Andy, Gabe, Frankie, Chuck and Joe. Irene was a lifelong domestic engineer who enjoyed cooking, baking and cleaning. One of her favorite things to do was having family get togethers surrounded by the people she loved the most. She was also a proud lifelong and cherished member of the Dravosburg United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank O.S.P.T.A Home Care and Hospice staff as well as the many wonderful care givers and neighbors who kept Irene comfortable at home. Robert Mueller, 73, of Clairton Pa, passed away on Monday, February 3rd, 2020 at United Hands Homecare. He was born and raised in Mt. Washington Pa on November 3, 1946 to the late Frank M, and Ruth Kerting Mueller. He is survived by his brother Bill (Nancy) Mueller, of Mt Washington, and sister in law Linda Mueller of Coraopolis, as well as many cousins and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his brother David Mueller. He enjoyed collecting many things especially records. He also was an avid animal lover of all breeds of dogs and cats.  Donna Jean King, 82, of Glassport passed away at Southwestern nursing home on Sunday, January 26, 2020 surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born on June 18, 1937 in Glassport to the late Eugene and Claire Bowen Iley. Donna was the loving wife of 42 years to the late Charles E. King. Donna is survived by daughters, Aimee (Neil) Fogarty of Wexford and Valerie (Jack) Beauchamp of Glassport, and a son, Charles “Greg” (Karen) King of Lincoln Boro. She is also survived by three sisters, Carol (Carl) Lawson of AZ; Lois Price of FL; Sandy (James) Letham of NY; and six grandchildren, CJ and Beth King, Sean and Kelan Fogarty, Zachary and Nathan Beauchamp. Donna was a member of St. John’s Lutheran church formerly located in Glassport. She loved dancing to Tom Jones with her beloved husband Charles as well as ceramics, crocheting and cards. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Southwestern Nursing home for their care and compassion. Jean Britha Goodrum Hudson

Jean Britha Goodrum Hudson, 86 died peacefully surrounded by family members on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Cumming, GA, where she had resided at the Oaks at Hampton Assisted Living Center since moving from Shalimar, FL, in 2016.  She had been a long-time resident of Florida, living in Homestead and Shalimar.  Jean was born in West Mifflin, PA on April 28, 1933 to the late James and Britha Andrews Goodrum, the last of six children.  Jean was married for 24 years to the late Thomas A. Hudson, Jr. (Air Force Retired), until his death in 1977. Jean worked as a civil servant beginning her career with the Department of Defense and retiring from the Department of the Interior.  After retirement, she enjoyed her grandchildren and fellowship with the First Baptist Church of Niceville, Florida, where she was a long standing member.  She is survived by her daughter; Linda Jean Hudson (David) DeLarios, of Cumming, GA, and son; Thomas James (Kimberly) Hudson, of Spring Hill, FL, grandchildren;  Rebecca R. Hudson,  Thomas C. Hudson, Erika H. Phipps,  Emily  J. Hudson ,  and Hudson A. DeLarios. In addition, Jean was blessed with fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Hudson, Jr., sisters; Hannah McDevitt, Mary DaBaldo and Viola Edwards, and brothers; James and Arnold Goodrum.  Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, January 7th from 2-4 and 6-8 at S.M. Alice Gwendolyn Griffiths Parsons, 74, a lifetime resident of Clairton, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Jefferson Medical Center. She was born in McKeesport on October 21, 1945 to the late William and Martha Jolliffe Griffiths. Alice leaves behind her loving husband William R. Parsons Jr. of Clairton. She is also survived by her sons William R. (Tamara) Parsons of Hamilton, Ontario Canada, and Chris W. Parsons, of Clairton, brother William “Earl” (Marge) Griffiths of Winston, Salem. Alice is also survived by her nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. She was a member of Pine Run United Methodist Church in Clairton, and the Pennsylvania Order of the Eastern Star #316 in Clairton.  She enjoyed ceramics, knitting afghans, luncheons with friends, and spending time with her family. Laura Margaret Lotto Burchesky, 99, of Clairton, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Manor Care in Whitehall. She was born in Coal Valley, Jefferson Hills on June 18, 1920 to the late Carl and Mary Sinatra Lotto. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Burchesky; loving mother of JoAnn (Barry) Kylander, of Pleasant Hills, Robert M. Burchesky, of Clairton, Connie (Craig) Ramsey, of Elizabeth; sister of Anthony Lotto, of Jefferson Hills and sister-in-law, of Emma Lotto, of Akron, Ohio; cherished grandmother of, Erin (Sam) Nunnery, of Gibsonia and Jessica (Nick Chiavetta) Ramsey, of McKees Rocks; great-grandmother of Samuel Wilson Nunney V. Also survived by special niece Angel Lotto-Rose and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Laura was preceded in death by brothers: Paul, Anthony, John, and Carl Lotto; sisters: Madeline Burgy, Mary McClanahan, Minnie Foster, Abbie Jordan and Josephine Lotto. Laura was a member of St. Paulinus Church, Holy Angel’s Church and most recently St. Michael’s Church in Elizabeth. She was the owner of Lotto’s Beauty Salon for over 60 years. John Michael “Timmy” Kostelnik Sr., 88, of Dravosburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at the John J. Kane Community Living Center, in McKeesport. He was born in Homestead on September 17, 1931 to the late John and Helen Uhrin Kostelnik. John was the loving husband of 65 years to the surviving Elizabeth Makay Kostelnik. He is also survived by his son, John M. (Sheri) Kostelnik, of Lancaster, CA, daughter, Sandra L. (David Mooney) Kostelnik, of Dravosburg, sister, Donna Johnen, of Cortland, OH, grandchildren, John Michael Kostelnik, Kevin Alan (Kate) Kostelnik, Kara Leigh (Nicholas) Kerr, Michael Ryan Kostelnik, great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Carrie, Ashley, Kennedy, and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Wolak. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force, and served in the Korean War. John was a member of the American Legion in Dravosburg, was past president and volunteer fireman of the Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Company #2, and was an usher at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, in West Mifflin. He was a Buick Auto Mechanic for 42 years, and loved working on cars. John loved, and was loved deeply by his family and friends. His wit and charm was enjoyed by all. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a sports enthusiast, enjoyed organizing pool parties, an excellent cook, loved animals, and was NEVER without his Copenhagen. Larry R. “Brownie” Brown, 89, of Dravosburg, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, November 14th, 2019. He was born in McKeesport Hospital on June 1st, 1930 to the late Martin and Mary Marie Kent Brown. Larry is survived by his son, Roy E. (Diana) Brown, of Palm Coast, FL, sister, Inez Schroeder, of Monongahela, grandchildren, Jennifer (Anthony) Brown-Keane, of Holyoke, Massachusetts, great-grandchildren, Saoirse and Eamonn, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister, Jean Pulley, and brother, Jack Brown. Larry proudly served his country as a member of the Army National Guard, and served as a cook while stationed in post-WWII Germany in Berchtesgaden.  He was a member of the American Legion, and the First Christian Church, in Dravosburg. Larry was formerly employed as an engineer for the Union Rail Road for 35 years, as well as U.S. Steel. He enjoyed gardening, and also loved to travel. Clarence Edison “Bo” Stark Jr., 72, of McKeesport, formerly of Clairton and Glassport, passed away on Thursday, November 14th, 2019 at John J. Kane Regional Center in McKeesport. He was born in Vindex, Maryland, on April 10, 1947 to the late Bertha Tasker and Clarence E. Stark Sr. Clarence is survived by his daughter, Christine Stark, of McKeesport, sisters, Rose Bocianoski, of Port Vue, Mary (Larry) Hackney, of Ashland, KY, Patricia (Carl) Ratliff, of Ashland, Ohio, Charlotte (Terry) Hauser, of Hanover, MD, Anna (Ralph) Park, of Oakland, MD, brothers, Charles (Paula) Stark, of Frederick, MD, and Robert Stark, of MD, as well as many nieces and nephews. Clarence proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during Vietnam, where he was stationed in Panama. He was formerly employed by Westinghouse, as well as Sears in West Mifflin. Clarence enjoyed playing Billiards, and was a member of several Pool Leagues. The family would like to thank the staff at Kane for their caring and compassion. Gregory Paul “Cabbage” Kavalukas, 67, of Glassport, formerly of McKeesport, passed away on Wednesday October 16th, 2019 at the John J. Kane Regional Center in McKeesport. He was born in McKeesport on June 17th, 1952 to the late Peter and Catherne Mols Kavalukas. Gregory is survived by his loving companion of 18 years, Nancy Halt, and her daughters, Angela Maren (Maarten) Jacobs, and Nicole Speeney. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Sydni Speeney, Anneke Jacobs, and Ashton Jacobs, sisters, Roberta (Charles) Simeral, of South Carolina and Pamela Kavalukas, of McKeesport, niece, Shanna (Gary) Morgan, of South Carolina, nephew, Shawn (Sara) Simeral, of South Carolina, great-nephews, Conner Morgan, and Caden Simeral, and great-niece, Delany Simeral. Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Catherne. He was a former member of St. Mary’s Church, and was previously employed by Allegheny Parks, South Parks.
