Julia Elizabeth "Jean" Naspinsky, 87, of McKeesport passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022. She was born August 25, 1935 in Morrisville, PA and was the daughter of the late George and Susann (Jedlocki) Majoros. She was the wife of Frank A. Naspinsky for over 40 years before he passed away in March of 2001. She was hardworking, loving, and  devoted her time to taking care of her husband and the house before his passing. Jean was a long time member of the Free Hungarian Reform Church in McKeesport. She also adopted many animals through the years and treated them as if they were her own children.

Ronald "Ron" Hornyak, 79, of Pittsburgh passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022. He was born March 5, 1943 in McKeesport and was the son of the late George and Virginia Jean (Billelter) Hornyak. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Clarke) Hornyak, who passed away February 11, 2015. Ron graduated from McKeesport High School and worked for Union Carbide as an Acetylene Generator Operator. where he retired from in 2005. He was an avid sports fan and athlete. Through the years, Ron coached multiple little league baseball teams, he was a part of multiple bowling and golfing leagues, he loved fishing, playing billiards and cards, and was a huge fan of all Pittsburgh Sports.

Mary Beth Cornell Popham, 53, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at home. She was born September 11, 1968 in McKeesport and was the daughter of Lucille (Patterson) Cornell Cindric of Greenock and the late Robert J. Cornell, Sr.  Mary Beth was proprietor of the former Cozy Corner Cafe in Elizabeth Township and was a 1986 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Gary Popham and daughter, Carly Popham, sisters, Kathleen (Kent)  Bonadio, Carol Sue (Joe) Palady, and Patty (Shawn) Leber, brother, Bob (Tina) Cornell, Jr., step-mother, Sally Cornell and nieces and nephews. Joseph A. Miele, 83, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 20, 1939 in Pittsburgh and was the son of the late Steven and Catherine (Angelini) Miele. Joe was a 1956 graduate of Westinghouse High School and went on to work for 32 years as a High Bay Crane Operator at US Steel Edgar Thompson Plant, where he retired from in 2002.  He was baptized in 1971 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and attended The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Trafford. Joe enjoyed working on many projects in his garage and always maintained spotless vehicles.  He enjoyed talking to people about what he had learned from the bible and took great comfort in the promise of a future where pain and death will be no more. He will be greatly missed.

Gregory Michael Firda, 61 of Elizabeth Township, formerly of Lincoln Borough, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022 now at rest after a great fight with cancer. He was born on March 10, 1961 in McKeesport. He was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish-St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Township and was a 1979 graduate of St. Elizabeth Catholic School in Pleasant Hills. To many Greg was a true walking angel, and now will continue to be our angel in heaven to be reunited with his loving parents John Firda, and Agnes Bernadette (Behun) Firda. Greg is survived by his brother Jeffrey (Tammy) Firda of Lincoln Borough, nephew John Firda, nieces Alexis Firda and Avonlea (Blaine) Gergley, Ashley (Bradley) Domer who resembled to be his own daughter along with her children Bradley and Mateo who he deeply enjoyed the presence of till his last hours.

Daniel was a Senior Coke Specialist at the Cleveland Cliffs Coke Refractory. He was also a member of Bricklayers Local 9. He was a graduate of South Allegheny High School Class of 1987. Dan was an "All Outdoorsman". He enjoyed hunting, motorcycle and bicycle riding, golf, kayaking and running marathons. He was a hard worker, fitness enthusiast, food enthusiast, chef, Penguins and Steelers lover and loved his life. He was a loving husband, great son, brother, uncle, step-dad, and great friend.

Barbara A. Hoak, 80, of White Oak, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022 at home. She was born February 4, 1942 in Dravosburg and was the daughter of the late Hilary L. Baker, Sr. and Helen (Wisser) Baker. Barbara was a member of The Bryn Mawr Church of Christ and was the top of her class in nursing school. She had previously worked as a secretary for several doctors offices and in advertising for Wonder Sales.  Barbara was the best wife and mother and a doting grandmother. She had a passion for theatre and was  a tremendous cook and baker, she was known for her fudge, applesauce fruit cake, pumpkin pies, orange cookies and potato soup, to name a few of her family's favorites.  She enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and traveling. She had crossed country to San Diego on a train, visited Niagara Falls and loved going on rides to see fall foliage at Ohiopyle, Bedford and Ligonier. A special passion for Barbara was also rescuing elephants through the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.  She will be greatly missed.

Craig served in the Air Force and was a retired Loan Officer for North Side Deposit Bank, Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Laraine Marie (Ercole) Smith; son, Timothy L. (Darlene) Smith of White Oak; daughter, Sharon S. (Mark) Johnson of Upper St. Clair; brother, Marshall "Marty" L. (Lois) Smith of McKeesport; grandchildren, Kayla M. Smith of Pittsburgh, Jordan  L. Yuhas of Elizabeth, Isaac C. Smith of Pleasant Hills, Meghan L. Johnson of Oakland, and Hannah J. Smith of White Oak; sister-in-law, Mary Smith of Steubenville, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, H. Wayne Smith.

Dennis Clyde “Den” Randolph, 72, of Sutersville passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022. He was born September 4, 1949 in McKeesport and is the son of Erma J. (Betzner) Randolph and the late Clyde I. Randolph. After graduating from McKeesport High School in 1967, Den met the love of his life, Diane. He then enlisted with the Marines and served from 1969-1971 and has always been a proud Veteran. Den worked many jobs through the years, but retired in 2016 from Basic Carbide, where he worked as an Inspector & Shipper. He was a member of Shaner Gun Club, and he loved hunting. He was a huge family man, and loved spending time with them, and he especially loved his dogs.
