It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Barbara Lee (Abels) Minteer on Monday, December 7, 2020. She will have no more suffering from breast cancer which she valiantly fought. She was born July 23, 1939 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late John and Gladys (Schreiner) Abels. She grew up in Dravosburg and after marriage and having her children they moved to Industry in Elizabeth Township. It is here where she lived for over 50 years and created many lasting friendships. She loved sitting on her front porch and saying hello to the passersby. She enjoyed evenings on her porch entertaining neighbors and loved ones. Never learning how to drive, Barb was never one to turn down an offer to go out to eat, play cards or go to Bingo. If the wheels were turning, she was going! She was a member of the Buena Vista V.F.D Ladies Auxiliary and also worked the voting polls on Election Days.

(Tytke) Popp. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Duquesne, Allegheny County FOP Lodge 91, F & AM Aliquippa Lodge 0375, the PIN club, and Dravosburg American Legion. Ed retired from the City of Duquesne Police Department where he served as a Policeman and Detective. Additionally, he worked for the Kennywood Park Police Department and was a retired military veteran where he served a combined 25 years in the U.S. Navy active duty and the Pennsylvania Air National Guard,171st Air Refueling Wing.

He was born August 14, 1932 in McKeesport and was the son of the late George Gustave Alund, Sr, and the late Edith (Swanson) Alund. William was a member of Christy Park United Methodist Church and was a member of the former Jenny Lind United Methodist Church where he was in the choir for over 60 years. He also enjoyed participating in the McKeesport Barbershop Chorus and the National Carbide and Tool Society. He retired from Champion Tool and Die after 50 years of employment and was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.
