John J. Maticko Jr., 88, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at his home.  He was born April 25, 1930 in Van Voorhis, Pa., a son of the late John J. and Anne Billie Maticko.  Prior to his retirement, John was general manager for WEDO Radio Station and a member of St. Agnes Parish.  He was an avid flea marketer and loved to tinker with electronics and cameras.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Maticko.  He is survived by his wife, Harriet Kusmierek Maticko; daughters, Maria Brockman and Roseanne Maticko.  Friends will be received on Thursday from 9 - 9:30 a.m. at the James W. Douglas G. Vranish, 61, of Irwin, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019.  He was born July 9, 1957 in Johnstown,  a son of the late Milan and Beverly (Brown) Vranish.  Doug was the owner of Doug Vranish Plumbing and Heating and was a member of Christ The Light of the World Church, Duquesne.  He was a car enthusiast and an avid Pittsburgh sports team fan.  He enjoyed visiting the City of Pittsburgh, loved cutting grass, being Evander's pap pap, spending time with his family and had a larger than life personality with a sense of humor to match. He is survived by his loving wife, Veronica Kingerski; sons, Jacob Vranish and his wife, Alyssa; Benjamin Vranish (Babs); daughter, Sarah Vranish; brother, Matthew Vranish and his wife, Cindy; sisters, Sandra (Daniel) Skerbetz, Susan (Glenn) Wells; and grandson, Evander.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at the James W. JoAnn Gruber , age 57 of North Huntingdon died March 30, 2019 at home. She was born November 10, 1961 in Pittsburgh, Pa, a daughter of the late Sylvester and Patricia Rizzo Banaszak. JoAnn graduated from Hempfield High School. She was a representative for Cutco. She enjoyed sitting around her  fire outside of her home and decorating her yard and home with fall and Christmas blow-ups. Close friends referred to her as "momma". Lawrence McClure Wilson, 82, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019. He was born January 20, 1937 in Bentleyville, Pa., a son of the late John and Eunice Greenlee Wilson. Lawrence earned his Master's Degree in special education from California University, was a veteran of the US Army and a member of Christian Life Church, Trafford. Lawrence started his career as a speech therapist for Somerset County School District and later worked for Polk Medical Center as a program director for the last ten years. He loved to hunt, fish and was an avid antique and flea marketeer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Herbert, James and John; sister, Margaret Zarak. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Colleen Harkcom Wilson; sister, Grace Wilson; brother, Arthur (Beverly) Wilson; and sister-in-law, Frances Wilson. Aaron Plecenik, 36,  of Wheeling, WV, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away March 19, 2019. He was a graduate of Norwin Senior High School, class of 2000.  Aaron was an electrician who loved his trade.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing his guitar and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.  His best hobbies were his son, Aaron Jr., age 9 and daughter, Nevada, age 8.  He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Lisa James Plecenik; parents, Dennis and Sherri Plecenik; older brother, Adam Plecenik; grandmother, Sophie Smith; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  A gathering will take place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. at the James W. Stephen C. Bill, age 91 of North Huntingdon  died March 23, 2019 at Forbes Regional Hospital. He was born February 28, 1928 in McKeesport, a son of the late Steve and Evelyn Vanetta  Bill. Prior to his retirement Stephen was employed by Teledyne Firth Sterling. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Navy as a Seabee, a member of Beulah Park Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Hennessey Bill and one sister, Virginia Puskeric. He is survived by one son Brian Bill (Melissa), three daughters,  Stephanie Miller, Paula Mercalde (William), Marcella Duke (Jay), one brother, Walter Bill  (Marjorie) , 5 grandchildren Steven (Andrea), Craig (Amy), Justin (Nancy),Derrick (Aish), Jacob and 6 great grandchildren. Agnes Helen Hornak

Agnes Helen Hornak, 90, died Friday, March 22, 2019. She was born July 16,1928, daughter of the late John and Anna Kuchel of East McKeesport. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Richard, who died January 26, 2019. She is survived by two twin daughters, Marcie Reese (Barry) and Cheryl Saylor (Michael); and grandchildren, Christopher (Dana), Claire, Dylan (Anastasia) and Evan; and great-grandson Axel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers John and William Kuchel. Agnes was happy and content in her role as wife and homemaker. She was a wonderful mother who set a great example of treating people with respect and living a life without the need for extravagance. She and her husband Dick spent over fifty years enjoying their cottage on Lake Erie as often as possible with family and friends. A private family funeral is planned. Jerome Wright, 84, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019.  He was born June 15, 1934 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Walter W. and Sophie Wright.  Prior to his retirement, Jerry was an information systems manager for WESCO and a veteran of the US Army.  He was a member of St. Agnes Parish and enjoyed attending air shows, train shows, all Norwin community events and spending time with his grandchildren.  He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Schroer Wright; sons, Walter Wright and his wife, Bridget, Jerry Wright Jr. and his wife, Faith; daughters, Marsha Meyers, Kathy Novacek and her husband, Dave; grandchildren, Charlie (Jamie), Brianna, A.J. Meinen, 88, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019.  He was born January 9, 1931 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Lawrence and Lillian (Drost) Meinen.  Prior to his retirement, Lawrence was an operations manager for Precise Technology, Inc., North Versailles and a veteran of the US Army having served in Germany during the Korean War Era.  He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin, served on the Mon/Yough Trail Council and enjoyed rails-to-trails bicycling,  fishing, model trains and boating.  He was dedicated to friends and family, always eager to lend a hand, emotional support or share a good time.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Zimmerman Meinen.  He is survived by his son, Larry Meinen and his wife, Barbara, grandchildren Abby and Matt; daughter, Laureen Houston, grandchildren Elizabeth and Caroline; brother, Ronald (JoAnn) Meinen.  Friends will be received on Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the James W. , 91, of Saratoga, Ca., formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019.  He was born December 9, 1927 in McKeesport, Pa., a son of the
late Michael Stephen and Mary (Zsalabak) Voron. John was a graduate of Penn Tech
Institute. Prior to his retirement from US Steel as a piping designer, he was a patent
draftsman for Robertshaw Fulton Controls. He was a member of St. Stephen Byzantine
Catholic Church. John was also a veteran of the US Marine Corps 1st Battalion 7th
Regiment and served in China and the occupying forces in Japan during WWII from 1945 –
1947. He enjoyed art, gardening, cooking ethnic Ukrainian/Russian food, and spending
time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,
Nancy M. Foley Voron; brothers, Michael (Helen) and William (Irene) Voron; and sister,
Mary (Frank) Natalie. He is survived by his sons, Mark T., John R., Vincent J. (Salima), and
Nicholas A. (Mary), grandchildren Joshua Slagy, Erik Voron (Esra), Nicole Paulovich
(Darrin), Vincent S. Voron, Lucas S. Voron, Nikolai M. Voron and Michaela M. Voron, great-

Glagola, 74, of North Huntingdon passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  He was born January 7, 1945 in Wilmington, DE, a son of the late George and Blanche (Nicholas) Glagola.  Prior to his retirement, George was a slicing technician for Verizon and a member of St. Agnes Parish.  He enjoyed playing softball, basketball and volleyball, and enjoyed listening to oldies music.  He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Virginia Logesky Glagola; son, George Glagola; daughters, Gia Sanders and her husband, Jay, Kristen Wassel; grandchildren, Caden and Sarah; and lifetime friend, Jim Barry.  Friends will be received at the James W.
