Lois M. Scandinaro, age 82 of North Huntingdon, died April 12, 2016 at Forbes Regional Hospital. She was born July 10, 1932 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Robert and Loretta Mauer Thornton. Lois was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, North Huntingdon. She enjoyed crocheting, was  an avid card player, watching game shows, camping, jigsaw puzzles, word games, spending family time with her children and grandchildren.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank, daughters, Lois Scandinaro, Sandy Spudy and an infant daughter, three sisters, Loretta Rischer, Mary Wise and Betty Rall. She is survived by two sons, Frank (wife Beth), and Tom Scandinaro, one daughter, Lois Hathaway (husband Jack), three brothers, Bob, Joe and Jim Thornton, one sister Patricia Quesenberry , grandchildren, Tina Folmer, Dennis Erdly, Deborah Kuhens, John, Chris and Lee Scandinaro, Cassie Palmer, Matthew and Jessica Spudy, 17, great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the James W. Ruth E. Haberjak, age 90, of Youngwood, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016  at Redstone Highlands, Greensburg, PA.  She was born June 30, 1925 in Uniontown, a daughter of the late John Henry Freeman Sr. and Lula Tallentire Freeman Ehrenburg.  Prior to her retirement, Ruth worked for Cox's, McKeesport in the Credit Department.  She enjoyed macrame, playing bingo and singing.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Haberjak Sr; and brother, John Henry Freeman Jr.  She is survived by her son, Edward Jr. and his wife, Genevieve; daughter, Mary Panico and her husband, Julius; five grandchildren, Lisa Panico Jackson (William), Wendy Lieberum (Eric), Erin Toner (Tom), Leah and Edward Haberjak; three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Raelynn and Kaleb.  Friends will be received at the James W. Edward J. Klotz Sr., 87, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at his home. He was born October 21, 1928 in Duquesne, PA, a son of the late Michael and Anna Petrosko Klotz. Prior to his retirement, Edward was a masonry bricklayer for US Steel and was a Corporal in the US Army, having served during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church, White Oak Rod and Gun Club, life member of the NRA and American Legion Post 0344 for 46 years. Edward was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing and yard work and was a Pittsburgh Sports Teams Fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael. He is survived by his wife, Marie Czarnecki Klotz; sons, Michael and his wife, Sheila, Gary, Edward Jr. and his wife, Laurie; grandchildren, Michael, Stephen, Anna, E.J. III, and Zachary Klotz. She was a loving mother who enjoyed being a homemaker and enjoyed spending time gardening. Patricia was co-owner of Herminie Feed and Supply, Irwin and McKeesport stores. She was an active member of Circleville United Methodist Church, where she was a past member of the Church Council, past member of the Board of Trustees, prayer group, and volunteer for the Vacation Bible School. She was past chairman of Reseda Jr. Women's Club, Reseda, CA, past chairman of North Irwin Jr. Women's Club, Mother Advisor of the Order of the Rainbow Girls and Den Mother for BSA. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William H. Miller; sons, Kevin Miller, Rev's. Kenneth Miller and his wife, Denise; daughter, Nadine Miller-Haelle and her husband, Frank; brother, Thomas Spahr and his wife, Donna; sister, Bonnie Koury; four grandchildren, Craig (Claudia) Miller, Kyle (Anna) Haelle, Justin Miller, Jenae Haelle; five great-grandchildren, Kristian, Alejandra, Sierra, Halley and William. Mark A. Lavorini, 57 of North Huntingdon died Saturday, March 26, 2016 at his home. He was born July 1, 1958 in Lebanon, PA, a son of Marcia (Shirley) Lavorini and Nello and Irene Lavorini. Mark graduated from Sherwood High School, Class of 1976 and Mercyhurst University with a Bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice. He was employed as a Director of Commercial Sales for Dormont Appliance. He was the past president of BNI South Hills Chapter (Business Network International), and past State officer of the Pennsylvania Jaycees. He also enjoyed community service. Mark dressed as the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus at various locations. He is survived by his beloved wife, Janel Perretta Lavorini, mother-in-law, Joan Perretta-Clark, sister, Tanya Williams. William "Bill" J. Beard Jr., 61, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.  He was born February 5, 1955 in Oakland, PA, a son of Lois Ochs Beard and the late William J. Beard Sr.  Bill was employed as a milk receiver for Schneider's Dairy, and was a member of the Irwin Moose and Irwin Moose Golf Club.  He was a graduate of Norwin Senior High School Class of 1974 and enjoyed antique cars and tropical fish.  In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Cheryl A. O'Neill and her husband, Jeff;  brother, James Beard and his wife, Vivian; two nephews, Jeffrey O'Neill Jr, James Beard; and niece, Brittne Beard.  Friends will be received at the James W. Dian Matta 75, of North Huntingdon passed away March 22, 2016 at Forbes Regonial Hospital, Monroeville.  Born November 22, 1940 in McKeesport, daughter of Dorothy Johnson Allen and the late Robert C. Allen.  Dian was a Organist and Choir Director for Penns Woods United Methodist Church along with many other local churches.  She also performed various organ recitals in the area.  She is survived by her husband of 55 years Daniel, two daughters Debbie Short and her husband Dennis of Derry and Barb Matta and her husband Gene Lucas of North Huntingdon, two grandchildren Dustin and Michelle.  She was preceeded in death by her grandson Julian Lucas in 2003.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the James W. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Tool and Die maker by Elizabeth Carbide.He was a social member of the Larimer V.F.D. He was born April 3, 1926 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Michael Tomko and Elizabeth Hudachko Tomko Sebula. Ed was a charter member of St. Agnes Church North Huntingdon. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Fisher Body Division of General Motors with 30 years of service. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps having served during WWII.
