Marianne Matelan, age 83, of White Oak, formerly of Versailles, died December 31, 2016, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born February 3, 1933, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Chris and Ann (Kutsek) Kaylor and the wife of the late Edward M. Matelan, Sr. Marianne was a homemaker and dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a member of St. Angela Merici Church, where she was a Lady of Charity and a part of the ministry consultation. She is survived by her sons; James M. (Barbara) Lloyd of North Versailles and Edward M. Matelan, Jr. of White Oak, grandchildren; Josh, Justin, and Jordan; siblings; Ronald (Joey) Kaylor of North Huntington, Robert (Marlene) Kaylor of Berlin, Florence O’Bryon of Versailles, Janet (Dan) Schultz of North Huntington; sister-in-laws, Joanne Kaylor of Hempfield and Louise Kaylor of Port Vue; many nieces and nephews; and cousin; Stephen B. Gayok of Port Vue. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Lloyd; siblings, Chris Kaylor, Jr., Blanche Duval, and David Kaylor; brother-in-laws, Raymond (Helen) Matelan and Lloyd O’Bryon. Mary Anne (Messner) Charlesworth, age 77, of White Oak, died January 3, 2017, at her home. Born July 26, 1939, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mable (Rickard) Messner and the wife of Jim Charlesworth, for over 55 years. Mary Anne was a retired bookkeeper and assistant manager for H& R Block. She was a member of the First Free Evangelical Church, Senior Achievers, Children Ministries and a volunteer in many ways at her church. In addition to her husband, Mary Anne is survived by children, James (Teressa) Charlesworth, Jr., Mary Beth and Laura Charlesworth; grandchildren, James (Tanya) Charlesworth, III and Joyce Charlesworth; great grandchildren, Trai, Alyssa and Brandon; siblings, Joseph Messner, Catherine Robinson, Madeline Spranca and Patricia “Lisa” Barnes; many nieces and nephews. Edmund Przywarty, age 68 of Kittanning, formerly of McKeesport, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the Armstrong County Health Center. Born March 4, 1948 in McKeesport, he was the son of Caroline (Piotrowski) Przywarty and the late Edward Przywarty. Ed worked for many years as a dispatcher for S & S Transit, and later went to work for EchoStar. In his free time, he enjoyed watching all Pittsburgh sports, especially the Buccos. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Pamela (Wayne) Kucich of McKeesport, Karen (Donald) Coughenour of Orangeburg, SC and Cindy (Tom) Owoc of Elizabeth Twp., and many nieces and nephews. George F. Cindrich, age 89, of White oak, formerly of McKeesport, died December 30, 2017, at Riverside Care Center. Born January 18, 1927, in Mckeesport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dragica (Luketic) Cindrich and the husband of Deloris (Kozlowski) Cindrich, for over 68 loving years. George was retired from US Steel, National Tube Works, where he worked as a millwright for over 40 years. He was a member of the Corpus Christi Church. George was also a US Army veteran, serving during WWII. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was always there to lend a hand.

In addition to his wife, George is survived by children, Donna (Greg) Schneider of North Huntingdon and Diane (Mark) Bartko of White Oak; grandchildren, Lesley (Aaron) Knoechel, Kim (Rich) Michniak, Ashlee Bartko and Jason Bartko; great grandchildren, Olivia, Natalie, Allison and Avery; siblings, Frank (Helen) Cindrich of North Versailles, Mary Ann Kandala of North Versailles and Anne Pratt of Portland, OR; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel; siblings, Matt and Rose.

Family and friends will be received at Jaycox – Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, January 2, 2017, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church, on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Noon. David Crevar

David Crevar, age 64 of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 29, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. Born August 4, 1952 in West Mifflin, he was the son of the late Milan and Dorothy (Kascak) Crevar. David was a 1970 graduate of West Mifflin North High School where is was a member of the school marching band. Following high school, he went on to study at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, earning his Bachelors of Pharmaceutical Sciences degree in 1975.  Upon graduation from Pitt, David began his pharmaceutical career working for various pharmacies in both Pennsylvania and Ohio. He eventually came back home to become the owner of the Medicine Shop in Clairton for many years. David lived his life through the Lord, and shared his faith and love to all of his customers through prayer. He was always active in the community in many ways, and his generosity toward others went unmeasured. In his free time, he found great joy in being outside running, whether it be a marathon, a run down River Road, or a stroll with his beloved shih tzu, Buttons. He also loved to garden and was always there for family and friends to help with yard work and landscaping. His trips on holiday weekends to Indian Lake in Somerset were also some of his favorite pastimes. David is survived by his dearest and best friend, Irene Kumf of McKeesport; son, Jared Crevar of Hermosa Beach, CA; granddaughter, Miah Crevar; siblings, Karl Crevar of West Mifflin and Karen Crevar of Myrtle Beach, SC; niece, Carrie Ann (Mark) Hartman; nephew, Karl (Adrienne) Crevar; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and extended family from Eleanor Barton, Yaniga, Wiesen, Chapman, Kutzfara and Candalore families. James A. "Jim" Buck, age 75 of Greenock, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at his home. Born July 8, 1941 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Andrew John and Ethel P. (Kovach) Buck. Jim was a 1964 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering. Upon graduation, he dedicated his career to the steel manufacturing industry, working as a metallurgical engineer for many of the local and national steel companies, including US Steel Corporation and Jones & Laughlin Steel Company. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and could also be found on the greens enjoying a game of golf. James is survived by his brother, Bill (Suzie) Buck or Arlington, VA; sister, Debbie (Jim) Andrachek of Export, PA; nephews, Billy (Heather) Buck and Michael Andrachek; niece, Victoria Andrachek; and two great-nephews and a great-niece. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, John B. Buck. Patricia L. Deak, age 78 of McKeesport, passed away at home on December 22, 2016.  Born on October 15, 1938 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Carolyn (Davis) Barnes and the wife of the late William Deak.  Patricia was known for her delicous homemade candy.  Her homemade hard-tack Christmas candy and her many Easter chocolates were enjoyed by all.   She also enjoyed painting ceramics.  She is survived by her sons, Kevin (Terri) Deak and Brian (Teri) Deak; grandchildren, Christopher (Elisha) Deak and Shannon Deak; great-grandson, Ryder; sisters, Carol Delullo and Linda Barnes.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Barnes.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday December 27, 2016 from 4 p.m. until the time service at 6:30 p.m.  Pastor Marty Smith will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

Stephen M. Gorshak, age 71, of North Huntingdon, died December 23, 2016, at Walden’s View Senior Living. Born August 28, 1945, in Duquesne, he was the son of the late Michael and Kathryn (Evak) Gorshak. Stephen was retired from the Duquesne School District, where he worked as a custodian. He was a huge Pittsburgh Steeler Football fan and enjoyed spending time with his family. Stephen is survived by children, Josie (Jason) Stashko of North Huntingdon and Tara (Casey) Donahoe of McKeesport; grandchildren, Jakob and Jonah Stashko; sister, Rose Marie Schneider of Costa Mesa, CA; brother, Nicholas (Ruth) Swartz of Brownsville; aunt Emma Kundrat of Pittsburgh; many nieces and nephews. Karen was an active lifelong member of the McKeesport Alliance Church, where she dedicated her time serving as a Deaconess. After raising her children, she went on to work in the human resource department at Auberle, having retired after more than 10 years. Her true joy in life, however, was spending time with her grandchildren. She was always willing and eager to fill in as "the babysitter" when called upon. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Christopher W. (Karen M.) Fry of Monroeville and Marie Elena (Jeffrey) Matta of McLean, VA; grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Naomi, Esther, Deborah and Joshua Fry, and Jacob Matta; siblings, Lucille H. (Raymond) Stombaugh of Portage, PA and Phillip (Mary) Johnson of McKeesport; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Joel, and her brother, Kenneth Johnson. Matthew D. Suckfiel, age 42 of McKeesport, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at his home. Born October 23, 1974 in McKeesport, he was the beloved son of Ronald Suckfiel and Cindi Patterson. Matthew was a 1993 graduate of McKeesport Area High School, and later went on to study at the University of Pittsburgh as well as Penn State Greater Allegheny. Matthew was a self-employed construction worker and was often referred to as an all around handyman. He was always there to give family and friends a helping hand when needed. He was truly a Jack of all trades. In his free time he enjoyed following soccer, and he loved his doggie buddies, Frank and Cross-Patch. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James M. and Dorothy Suckfiel, William and Lillian Patterson; and uncles, James M. Suckfiel, Jr. and William Suckfiel. Joseph J. Spinosi, age 83, of White Oak, died December 18, 2016, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born December 15, 1933, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Julius and Rose (Borrelli) Spinosi and the husband of the late Bernadine Bernice "Dolly" Spinosi, for over 59 loving years. Joseph was retired from the J.C. Penney Corporation. He was a member of the St. Patrick Parish. He enjoyed playing bocce and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Joseph loved visiting his family in California and as of late, he truly looked forward to his monthly luncheon with his friends. Joseph is survived by children, Rose Ann (Corky) Stevens of White Oak, Perry (Tammy) Spinosi of Moon, PA, Joel (Rose) Spinosi of Coto de Caza, CA and Jason (Heidi) Spinosi of Washington, PA; grandchildren, Nicole, Brad (Jennifer), Dante, Julian, Roman, GianCarlo, Gianna, Matteo, Piera and Tianti; great granddaughter, Madison; brother, Phil "Spush" Spinosi of White Oak; sister, Mary Smith of CA; many nieces and nephews.

Verna M. Flohr, age 76, of McKeesport, died December 12, 2016, at Riverside Care Center with her family at her side. Born September 9, 1940, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Corrine (Lees) Hall and the wife of the late John R. "Dusty" Flohr. Verna retired from the G.C. Murphy Company Sign Shop, where she worked as a graphic artist for nearly 30 years. She then worked at the Jefferson Hospital Cafeteria and she was an in home care giver for many years. Verna was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed shuffle board, bingo and she had a passion for traveling and shopping. Joan Krejdovsky, age 76 of White Oak, passed away on December 15, 2016. Born August 16, 1940 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Elizabeth (Hoffman) Perhach, and loving wife of the late Daniel Krejdovsky.  Joan graduated from the St. Francis School of Nursing and also belonged to their Alumni Association.  She began her career as a Registered Nurse in 1962, and up until recently, was still dedicated to helping others by working in the Quality Control Department at UPMC McKeesport Hospital.  While she had passion for work, family was what brought her the most joy.  Their interests were her interests and spending time with them is what made her the happiest.  She is survived by her children, Matthew (Regina) Krejdovsky, Meg Pero, David (Karen) Krejdovsky, and Dan (Janette) Krejdovsky; grandchildren, Zachary (Colleen), Brittney (Shawn) Krznaric, Samantha, Nicole, Emma, Laney, and Daniel; great-grandson, Tristan; brothers, James (Judy) Lawrence and David (Annmarie) Perhach and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at St. Angela Merici Church at 11 a.m.  Fr.
