Ross F. Walton, Jr., 93, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday September 20 2018, in UPMC East, Monroeville. He was born July 11, 1925, a son of the late Ross F. Sr. and Edna (Hoak) Walton and was also preceded in death by his first wife Lois (Williams) Walton in 1990, a brother Harry C. Walton, sister in law Naomi Walton, and brother in law Wilbur Dudley. He was a graduate of Norwin High School, class of 1943, served in the Army, and graduated from Duff’s Business School. Prior to retirement Mr. Walton was owner of R & H Screw Machine Company, the Walton Insurance Agency, as well as Walton Real Estate. He was a lifelong member of Westmoreland City Primitive Methodist Church where he was church organist for 70 years, served on the church Trustee Board, and acted as the church’s financial secretary.

Elizabeth F. “Betty” Kifer, 91, of Monroeville, formerly of Irwin, died Friday September 14, 2018. She was born July 3, 1927 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Clyde L. and Iris (Mook) Friend and was also preceded in death by her husband James B. Kifer and her brother and his wife Clyde and Myrtle Friend. She was a retired secretary for Equitable Gas Co. and a longtime member of First United Church of Christ, Irwin. Prior to her husband’s passing they enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and enjoyed bridge club with friends.

She was born June 19, 1929, in Turtle Creek, a daughter of the late Paul L. and Anne (Williams) Cline and was also preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Smith. She was a retired employee of Westmoreland County as a tax assessor and a member of West Hempfield Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, and crocheting. Cecilia Marie (Forgie) Ditter, age 75, of North Huntingdon, formally of Turtle Creek passed away peacefully at Forbes Regional Hospital on Monday, September 3, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Robert Forgie and Lorraine (Forgie) Engleman. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and former member of Penn Woods United Methodist before its closing. She worked at the Irwin Bank and Trust as the bank manager for over 20 years before retiring. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Miller. She is survived by her husband of over 56 years Donald “Don” F. Ditter, children Tammy (John) Blackwood of Rostraver and Donald R. “Dirt” (Dana) Ditter of Trafford; grandchildren Kolin and Megan Ditter; sister Anita (Robert) Minnix of Richmond, Virginia; brother Robert (Donna) Forgie of Turtle Creek; brother-in-law Tommy Miller; and many nieces and nephews especially Christopher and Carter Minnix who thought of her as “grandma”.

Leonard Tramonte, 79, of Irwin, died Saturday September 1, 2018, at home. He was born April 14, 1939, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Michael and Julia (Falce) Tramonte and was also preceded in death by a brother Thomas. Lenny was a retired chef but more importantly a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He loved to fish and loved spending time with family especially pasta dinners on Sunday. Maria earned an associate degree as an Office Technician/Medical Assistant and worked as a customer specialist for CVS Pharmacy in their Spanish department. Alan G. Reese, 92, formerly of Irwin, died Saturday August 25, 2018. He was born August 1, 1926 in Homestead, the son of the late George and Alice G. (Rogers) Reese. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana Teachers College. He retired as an electrical draftsman/technical illustrator for Westinghouse Electric Corp., East Pittsburgh. Alan was a member of West Hempfield Presbyterian Church, the Greensburg Art Center, and was a former member of Strawpump VFD. Charlotte was a former cook for LaDonne Restaurant, North Huntingdon and was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Latrobe, the Theological Society of East McKeesport, and was a longtime volunteer for at the Grapeville VFD Gun Bash. She was a former active Girl Scout Leader while living in Illinois. She is survived by her children Faye D. Villa-James and her husband Ken of Cavittsville and Charles S. Evans and his wife Sandra Niehl of Turtle Creek; her grandchildren Kenneth (Vickie) James of Latrobe, Bethany A. James of Avalon David K. (Ashley) James of Greensburg Darlene F. Robert S. "Rob" McKinley, age 46, of Pittsburgh and Bedford PA, unexpectedly passed away on his farm on August 6, 2018. He was born December 1971 in Reading PA, son of Judy (Jenny) McKinley and the late Robert “Bob” McKinley, grandson of Goldie and the late Walter “Bud” McKinley, and the late Jack and Mary Rose Jenny. He graduated from Norwin Senior High School in the class of ’90. While attending various colleges, he was making a name for himself as a young entrepreneur, having ran and/or owned multiple businesses by his 30’s. Most recently, Rob was working at Hydro Extrusions North America as a Senior Business Analyst. He was a member of the Bedford Elks, and a supporter of the Bedford PA Humane Society. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, collecting antique furniture, and driving fast cars. He was a caring, outgoing, and energetic man who was loved by many and will be missed by all. Rob is survived by his wife and partner of 23 years, Allison White-McKinley; his mother Judy McKinley; his sisters, Heather Grove and her husband, Don Grove, of Johnson City, TN, Kathleen McKinley and her partner, Nathan Botti, of Herminie, PA, and his brother Patrick “Butch” McKinley and fiancé Patricia Schuler of Dormont, PA; six beloved nieces and nephews; and his loving dog, Daisy.
