Edward G. Yonika, age 74, of North Huntingdon, passed away suddenly Sunday, May 7, 2017. He was born August 16, 1942 in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late Edward M. and Mary E. (Chismar) Yonika. Ed was a longtime active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Irwin, where he served as a council member and usher. He was an Air Force veteran that worked for Westinghouse and then retired from Astro Automation in Irwin. He was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels, loved gardening and his grandchildren, and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He made everyone smile with his sense of humor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Vera Yonika and his brother John Yonika. He is survived by his wife of over 35 years Sandra Lynn (Hice) Yonika; children Maria Nicholson of McKeesport, Geoffrey (Laurie) Yonika of Eighty Four, Kristi (Joseph) Maywood of North Irwin and Karl (Paring) Basa of Oviedo, FL; grandchildren Samantha, Thomas, Joshua, Hannah, Nathan, Kristian, and Alyssa; brothers Michael (Linda) Yonika of South Hadley, MA, and Joseph Yonika of North Braddock; sisters Bernadette Bateman of Armburst and Lucille (Greg) DiNardo of Forest Hills; also nieces and nephews.

Carol A. (Owens) Price, 77, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday April 29, 2017. She was born February 9, 1940 in Coal Valley, the daughter of the late Richard and Caroline (Kady) Owens. Carol was a former manager for Campbell’s Sunoco, North Huntingdon, and had formerly worked at Bucyrus-Erie, Glassport, Fort Pitt Steel, Versailles, and Pittron Steel, Glassport. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, North Huntingdon. Carol's greatest joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. She loved family trips to Myrtle Beach and Kelly's Island and family cook outs at her house. She also had the biggest heart and was always there for anyone who needed her.

Roy was born September 5, 1939 in Jeannette a son of the late Edward and Bella (Hummelsine) Stoves of North Irwin. The second of five sons, he graduated from Irwin High School in 1957. Roy retired in 2003 from Emerson Electric, formerly Westinghouse, where he served as president of the Westinghouse Credit Union.

Allan Nelson, 91, of Irwin passed away peacefully Thursday April 6, 2017, at his home. He was born January 23, 1926 in Kilmarnock, Scotland. He was a member of the Royal Army near the end of WWII and then served in the British Merchant Navy. He and his family came to the United States in 1968 and Allan retired from a successful career with Genuine Tool Co., Irwin after more than twenty five years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Irwin, and Shidle Lodge No. 601, Free and Accepted Masons, Irwin. He was an accomplished swimmer, golfer, woodworker, and loved his Scottish heritage, including bagpipe music, but he was proud to be an American and was an ardent Steelers fan.
