She was a graduate of Norwin High School, Class of 1944 and a longtime member of the Primitive Methodist Church in Westmoreland City. She retired after working for the Westinghouse Air Brake Company.

Joseph Pirschl, age 89, of Greensburg, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016, at home. He was born March 30, 1927 in McKees Rocks, a son of the late Joseph and Diana (Calcey) Pirschl. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and went on to be co-founder of the Serro Travel Trailer Company in 1956 along with his father in law, John Serro. Due to his efforts, the Scotty brand of camping trailers became an icon in the RV industry. Two of the original models are currently in the RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart, IN.

He retired after 30 years of being a mail carrier for the Braddock Post Office and he had worked at the Gold Circle Store in Braddock Hills. He was a big fan of the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates, and he had coached a softball team in the Regent Square area. He loved comic book and sports card collecting, and was at the flea markets at Greater Valley, Olympia and East Land.
