Louis Anthony Campano IV, 21, passed away on January 25, 2024. Born on January 21, 2003, Louie was the son of Louis (Tricia) Campano III and Rebecca Campano ("Coach Frank" Cortazzo). In addition to his parents, Louie is survived by his brothers, Damon and Mason Campano; stepbrother, Julian Webber; bonus siblings, Frankie Cortazzo, Angelina Cortazzo and Faith Hresko; Grandparents, Louis (Tracey) Campano, Jr., Dean (Brenda) Gasky and Susan (Chuck) Readel; aunts, Amy (Pat) Fonner, Nina (Rich) Toomey, Theresa Campano and Aliya Campano; uncles, Russ Gasky and Tom Gasky; great-grandma, Liz Sacco; cousins, Christopher, Ricky, Deanna, Paige, Ellis, Brendan, Timmy, Jayden, Niko, Dominica, Johnny, Cole, Liam, Easton and Roman. Janet Brown (Griffiths) Blaho, 92, of Redstone Highlands, Greensburg campus, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born July 5, 1931 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Effie (McCleary) Griffiths. Janet was a 1949 graduate of McKeesport High School and 1953 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University known as Carnegie Institute of Technology. She elected to leave working in the big city of Pittsburgh to work closer to home for Equibank as a safe deposit and bank teller for years in McKeesport and Clairton. She was a published as a ghost writer for the Daily News providing young potential homeowners tips on banking opportunities and investments to help gain financial security. She was an active member, Sunday school teacher, and treasurer of the United Methodist Church of Boston. Additionally, she was Past Worthy High Priestess of the Order of The Eastern Star and Past Matron of Eastern Star Order of the Westmoreland White Shrine of Jerusalem NO. 18. Janet loved to travel, see shows, visit family, be active, and spend time with her neighbors, friends, and family as much as possible. She will be remembered by her involvement of her church family, Salvation Army ringing of the bells on cold winter days, Christmas gathering of gifts for so many families, her playground house of swimming and kindness, along with her Redstone family playing kings in the corner and world affair discussions. The highlight of her life was being an avid Steelers ticket holder who shared many games together with her husband and grandchildren, and brothers, saying "We had them all the way".

Joseph C. Gregory, Jr., 78, of Elizabeth Township, formerly of Los Angeles, CA, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at home. He was born October 10, 1945 in Brownsville and was the son of the late Joseph C. Gregory, Sr. and Anna M. (Petrick) Gregory. Joseph was a US NAVY Veteran, who served during the Vietnam conflict. Upon his completion of his military service, Joseph worked in marketing while living in Los Angeles, before returning back to Pennsylvania later in life. He was an avid basketball fan, who loved to play pick up games in his younger years and watch basketball games. His favorite teams were The Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and The UCLA Bruins. Joseph loved watching all sports, as well. He loved his family, especially his sister, nieces, nephews and great-nieces. He will be greatly missed.

William Gordon Ross, 93, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Monday January 22, 2024. He was born July 27, 1930 in Glassport and was the son of the late Donald O. and Nina (Wilkes) Ross. He was the loving husband of 47 years to Elaine (Lathrop) Ross. William was an Air Force veteran and a proud member of the VA. He had worked as a Sales Manager for Copperweld Bimetallics in Glassport for over 30 years, he had also worked for Finney Funeral Home, Sun Coach Line and co-owned Sister's Fashions with his wife in White Oak. William had a passion for music and was a choir director at numerous churches including Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church in Elizabeth.

Joy B. DeClaudio, 92, of Irwin, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 19, 2024. She was born July 4, 1931 in Irwin and was the daughter of the late Emil and Narcissa (Morpanini) Brunazzi, Sr. She was the wife of the late Robert "Bob" DeClaudio who passed away in 2002. Joy had worked for US Steel Irvin Works as a Key Punch Operator and also worked on her parents farm. She was a member of the Homemaker's Club in Sewickley and was a former member of the Shaner Sportsman's Club. She was a 1949 graduate of Sewickley Township High School in Herminie and attended Penn State University. She was a great Italian cook and a baker of many tasty "goodies". Joy loved cook books and trying new recipes. She also enjoyed going to sales, reading, making crafts with her friends at the "Club", and spending time with all her nieces and nephews including Laurie and her husband Rob at the Critter Country Animal Farm in Smithton. Joy attended "game dinners" at the Shaner Sportsman's Club, fundraiser BBQs at Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Children and holiday dinners with her family. Joy had a special "Pencil Christmas Tree" decorated with dozens of "Joy" ornaments given to her from friends and family members. She will be remembered for her devotion and care to her husband Bob DeClaudio, her parents, and her brother, Richie, and for her independence, great sense of humor and a heart of gold.

Shawn Edward Felicetty, 52, of White Oak, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024. He was born February 24, 1971 in McKeesport and was the son of Jayne Felicetty of White Oak and the late Joseph Thurmond. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, Dajahn Griffin and Connor Adkins of Delaware, and Kellen Felicetty of McKeesport; daughter, Alona Felicetty of Clairton; grandchildren, Dajahn Griffin Jr., Zander Griffin and Gianna Griffin; and by his aunts and uncles. Sandra L. (Shaffer) Bertoty, 77, passed away on Sunday, January 14th at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Born January 18, 1946 in McKeesport to the late George H. and Anna M. (Surgeon) Shaffer, she was a graduate of McKeesport Area High School (1963) and the Douglas School of Business (1965). At her first job at Renzie Park as a playground supervisor, she met her future husband, John. Following their marriage in October of 1965, she was employed by Liberty Loans as a Claims Supervisor. While raising her family, she worked for Supowitz Brothers Shoe Company and J.S. Robb Shoes. She eventually worked as Office Manager/Dental Assistant for Dr. Samir J. Ayoub, D.D.S. until her retirement in 1996 to become full-time Grandma to her only grandchild, Matthew.
Sandra was a member of the former Holy Trinity (Saint Martin de Porres) Parish, in McKeesport, where she volunteered as a C.C.D. Teacher and was one of the original Eucharistic Ministers for Holy Trinity Church. She was an active member of the parish’s Fundraising Committee, overseeing the Lottery Ticket fundraiser and ticket booth manager for the Parish Festivals. Sandra was a Benefactor Life-Member of the NRA, a Certified Pistol Instructor and helped teach First-Steps Pistol Instruction, along with her husband, at Anthony Arms and Pitcairn-Monroeville Sportsman’s Club, where she was also a member. She was an active member of McKeesport-White Oak Kiwanis, where she served as Chairwoman of the Membership Committee, and the Westmoreland-Fayette County Boy Scouts of America where she held several positions, including Committee Member for Pack 270, and a member of the Bushy-Run District Committee, where she helped organize and run numerous District Events.

June A. Halvorson McElravy, 95, of White Oak, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, in Mt. View Memory Care Home in Greensburg, PA. She was born June 12, 1928 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late John Halvorson, Sr. and Anna Widen Halvorson. She was the loving wife of Glenn McElravy, who passed away on September 18, 2006. She worked for Bell Telephone of PA in their McKeesport office. She was an earlier member of St. John Lutheran Church in McKeesport where she taught Sunday School. More recently she was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in White Oak where she helped with altar care and was involved with its woman's groups. June belonged to White Oak Chapter 2294 of the American Association of Retired Persons, Pioneers, Eastern Star and served as a volunteer in the gift shop of McKeesport Hospital.

Juanita Denise (Matuschek) Betters, 68, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Duquesne, precious daughter, cherished sister, beloved wife, devoted mother and joyful grandmother, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024. Juanita was an avid reader who enjoyed her flower garden and cross stitching. Her true passion, that she shared with her husband was college basketball, better never bother her during March Madness!! One of her greatest loves were pug dogs. Her own dog "Sparky" brought her such happiness. Juanita was a graduate of Duquesne High School where she met her beloved husband, Vince. Having children, making a home in North Huntingdon and being close to family completed her dreams. Trips to Disney World with family made her very happy. He was born May 6, 1946 in McKeesport and was son to the late Joseph Julius and Lillian (Coddington) Greiner. Bill was a McKeesport High School graduate and served in the US Navy. He loved sports cars, and enjoyed volunteering his time to help his daughter create crafts for the vacation bible school at their church. In 1973, Bill built his & Maureen's house from the ground up using his beautiful woodworking skills. He also worked many years alongside Maureen as proprietors of WJ's Discount Pet Center.

Harriet Darlene Sigmund, 82, of McKeesport passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023. She was born in Pittsburgh on May 3, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Pauline Hauber & Harry E. Sigmund and stepfather Leonard Hauber.
Harriet was a school bus operator for over 23 years, retiring from McKeesport Area School District then driving for First Student Transportation for Serra Catholic High School. Later she worked for Mercy Behavioral Health as a Medical Records Technician. She was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church and the Christian Mothers and was also a member of Teamster Local Union 205, the American Legion, and Croatian Fraternal Union - Lodge 146. Harriet loved her family, the beach, fishing, gardening, drawing, smoking, scrolling FB, driving, and dancing. She was creative, artistic, loved to bake and taking care of her greenhouse on her back deck.
