Shirley Lynn Maglicco, 70, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022. She was born July 20, 1952 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret (Tkatch) Rusinko. Shirley was a member of Mary, Mother of God - St. Mary Czestochowa Church, McKeesport. She was also a member of the Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce and was a volunteer for Relay for Life. Shirley and Larry loved to travel.Their most memorable trip was to Italy in 2014.

Salomea "Sally" Ann  Prailey, 87, of Boston, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 at home. She was born August 22, 1935 in Boston and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Martinaitis) Wroblewski Snyder. She was the wife of the late Frederick R. Prailey who passed away February 26, 2010. They were married for 56 years. Sally was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church in Christy Park. She was an Administrative Assistant to the District Manager at the former J.C. Penny Co. in the Eastland Mall, She worked there from 1967 to 1997. She had previously worked at McKeesport AAA, Helmsteder's, and Balsamo's. Sally was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an excellent homemaker and loved to cook, bake, and make candy. She was also a seamstress and made clothes for herself, her daughter and even made miniature Barbie Doll clothing. She loved her cats, reading, gardening and watching the history and educational channels. She enjoyed knitting, crochet, crossword puzzles and motorcycling with her husband. She was quick witted, ornery, and extremely strong willed. She was an impeccable dresser and loved sweets and chocolate. Sally and Fred loved to travel and were once labeled "The Travel Couple" by the former McKeesport Daily News.

Jay Patrick Null, 60, of McKeesport, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 after a courageous battle with ALS. He was born December 4, 1961 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Robert M. Null, Sr., and the late Mary M. (Madden) Null. Jay was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish- St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Township and was also a member of the church choir. Jay was a 1979 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and received his Bachelor's degree from Penn State University and his MBA from Waynesburg University. He was a Senior Marketing Engineer for Westinghouse. Jay was a very kind, compassionate man who cared very deeply for his family, friends and neighbors. He loved dogs, gardening, and was an excellent cook and baker.

Ronald was a member of Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church in Elizabeth Township and was retired from Bombardier in West Mifflin. He was a US Army Veteran. Ronald loved cars, woodworking and traveling. He was a perfectionist at everything he did.

James V. Filotei, 94, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born February 2, 1928 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Alex and Mary (Moffa) Filotei.  He was the husband of the late Mildred "Millie" Miscevich Filotei, who passed away August 28, 2021. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran and for his service he was awarded the WWII Victory Medal and The Philippine Independence Medal.  James went on to work for both Teledyne First Sterling and General Carbide Corp, where he was Chief Engineer of the plant. He was a member of Prayer Time Cathedral in White Oak. He enjoyed golfing and was also an award winning artist later in life. James was a member of The Loyal Order of The Moose, Lodge 236 in Irwin, American Legion Post 472 in Manor, and ISDA Lodge 57. He will be greatly missed.

William Thomas Bittle, 86, of Elizabeth Township, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 24, 2022. He was born December 23, 1935 in Holland, VA., and was the son of the late Clarence Lee and Sallie Mae (Newsome) Bittle. He was the husband of the late Loretta (Lewis) Bittle who passed away February 20, 2017. They were married December 31, 1966. He was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish St. Michael Church, VFW Post 7632 Blaine Hill, Pleasant Hills American Legion and was also a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. William served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. For his service he received the Order of the Purple Heart twice, the Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal  and Sharpshooter Badge. William worked many years in office machine sales, and the service business.

John Karlovski, 89 of Elizabeth Township, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022. He was born December 24, 1932 in Duquesne, and was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Grulja) Karlovski. He married the late Shirley (Pomaibo) Karlovski on September 17, 1955 and they were married for 56 years before her passing in December 2011. Now, a Veteran for the US Army, John served during the Korean War, where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. John worked for US Steel as a journeyman and brick layer for many years, and after retirement, he began farming. He raised many ducks, chickens, horses, dogs, cats, and even a peacock. John was a member of St. Dennis church in Versailles years ago, and was also a member of the Elizabeth Township Gun Club and the NRA.

Beverly worked for Penn State, McKeesport Campus in the BUB snack bar for many years. She has been a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church since her and Alex got married 59 years ago. She enjoyed watching the Steelers, Penguins, Pirates and PITT University sports, but loved her Hallmark movies.

(Stephanie) Smith of McKeesport, and Joshua J. (Engelina) Smith of Red Hill; daughter, Jessica R. (Caleb) Shultz of Forest Hills; and grandchildren, Adiella, Caulan, Murray, Yenika, Eliyah, Dietrich, Kierk, Kaden, Nouwen, Jael, and Tenley.
