Charles Arvine "Chic"  Muetzel, Jr., 87, of White Oak, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. He was born February 3, 1933 in Dormont and was the son of the late Charles Arvine Muetzel, Sr, and the late Velma Viola (Weis) Muetzel. Charles was President of the former Mon Valley Petroleum and was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Pittsburgh Petroleum Association, the Pennsylvania Petroleum Association and was a 1955 graduate of Washington and Jefferson College. A man who grew up in Dormont and graduated from W&J, became the best oil marketer east of the Mississippi. A man who started a family and raised 3 amazing children. A grandfather to 6 and great-grandfather to 9 more.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Betty and Ruth. As an Aviation Ordnanceman Third Class in the US Navy he served in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He graduated from McKeesport High School and received his undergraduate degree from Westminster College with a major in chemistry.

Wayne was a graduate of Shepherdstown High School Class of 1955. He was a US Marine Corps Veteran.   Wayne worked in finance all of his life. He belonged to the Elks in Cranberry Twp., and was an avid hunter. He was also a 32nd degree Mason and was celebrated for his 50 years in the Martinsburg Chapter.
