Gladys R. Foscoe, age 83 of North Huntingdon died Jan 4, 2024 at Transitions Health Care Centre in North Huntingdon. She was born April 26, 1940 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Thomas and Gladys (Shuber) Iwinski. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Richard, son Greg and brothers Joseph and Dave Iwinski. She is survived by sons Richard Foscoe (Debi) and William Foscoe, daughter Judi McNally (Tim), grandchildren Lyndsay McNally, Timothy McNally (Janelle), Brittany Javorsky (Jorn), Tiffany Foscoe, and Ricky Foscoe, great grandchildren Morynna, Wade, and Jolene, brothers James Iwinski and Charles (Eileen) Iwinski and numerous nieces and nephews. In Loving Memory of Dr. Thomas A. Dias. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Thomas A. Dias, 62, of North Huntingdon. He died unexpectedly of a cardiac arrest on January 1st, 2024. Tom was a vibrant person who lit up a room and has had a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have known him. Born in McKeesport in 1961, Tom was the cherished son of Rosemary Dias and the late Thomas M. Dias and brother to Tracey. He was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School in 1979. He received his undergraduate education at Auburn University and WVU, followed by his DMD from Temple University School of Dentistry, where he met his future wife. He was a loving husband of 35 years to Jeanne, a proud father to his daughters, Christina and Jessica, and father-in-law to Andrew. Tom also had a special place in his heart for his dogs, Lily and the late Lacey, and grand dogs, Mika and Kaiya. Tom was fortunate to have a large extended family and many close friends. Tom’s devotion extended beyond his family and into his professional life. A dedicated and skilled dentist, Tom was the proud owner of dental practices in Irwin and Versailles. His commitment to the well-being and smiles of his patients defined his professional life. He was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was an accomplished golfer, bowler, skier, pianist, and singer. He truly excelled at each of these pursuits and lived a full and happy life. To honor Tom’s memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (humaneanimalrescue.org) or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (bcrf.org). In doing so, we can continue his legacy of caring for others. On January 3, 2024, William “Bill” Gene Nay passed away peacefully at home after a long illness. Born in Fairmont, West Virginia to William Harold and Francis Imogene Nay, he was a 1968 graduate of Norwin. His career path lead him from journeyman electrician at US Steel Duquesne Works to an international project manager. Bill was active in NCAA and American Legion baseball. He was a member of the Plum Creek Masonic Lodge and the Monroeville Pitcairn Sports Club. He enjoyed gambling on golf holes with friends, Bob and Ralph, fishing meetings with Dan and John, big foot talk with Dwayne and motorcycling cross country with Clay. Bill was preceded in death by his son William “Billy” Buchanan Nay, his parents, and in-laws, Robert and Helen Buchanan. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith, son Robert (Lisa) and grandchildren Von, Sullivan, and Jelena Nay of Cary, North Carolina, daughter Stacy (Brian) and grandchildren Nash and Ridge Youngbauer of North Huntingdon, brother-in-law Robert (Cindie) Buchanan of St. Petersburg, Florida, Uncle Rex Shuman of Fort Wayne, Indiana and his canine shadow, Lucy. The family wishes to extend a thank you to Treasure, Karen and Dara from hospice and caregiver Chad for providing a comfortable and dignified life for Bill. Dorothy E. Wade, 98 formerly of North Huntingdon residing in Jefferson, Ohio died December 29, 2023 in Jefferson, Ohio. She was born April 26, 1925 in East McKeesport, a daughter of the late Harry and Martha Felgendreher Siems. Dorothy become a real estate agent in her 50s, which she continued until retirement. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. Dorothy was a talented artist and enjoyed gardening, flowers and fishing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Cleveland Wade Jr. and a sister, Marian Gimbroni. She is survived by two daughters, Shari Wade and her husband Christopher Wolfe and Elaine Burda and her husband Craig, 4 grandchildren, Derek, Devin, Patrick and Michael, 3 great grandchildren, Addyson, Xavier and Blake. Harriet M. Maticko, 87 of North Huntingdon passed away on December 28, 2023 at St. Anne Home, Greensburg. Joanne T. Smail, age 89 of North Huntingdon passed away peacefully December 28, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born July 21, 1934 in Turtle Creek, a daughter of the late Vincent and Valera Krygowski Scheffler. Joanne was a member of St. Agnes Church and the Christian Mothers. She enjoyed working with flowers, gardening, playing cards, crocheting afghans but most especially spending time with her family. She was a member of AARP 3221. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Westinghouse Airbrake as a secretary and Hazuzas Greenhouse. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William in 1996 and one sister, Pauline Lenart. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Hempel (Tom) and Elaine Dietrich, 2 grandchildren Brian Hemple (Nicholas Gray), Jason Hempel (Amanda), 2 great grandchildren, Ryleigh and Harlow Hempel, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Margaret Ellen Wineman Fullerton, 86, of North Huntingdon, died December 25, 2023. She was born September 8, 1937, in Greensburg, the youngest child of the late Harry E. and Margaret J. Pyle Wineman. Prior to her retirement, Margaret was employed as a registered nurse at Redstone Highlands and was a former co-owner of ABC Cleaners, Norwin Towne Square. She was a graduate of Greensburg High, Class of 1955 and Westmoreland Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1958. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Jacob W. Thomas J. Regester, age 82 of North Huntingdon died December 25, 2023 at Walden's View, North Huntingdon. He was born June 18, 1941 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Elizabeth "Betty" Hahn. Thomas was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was an avid outdoorsman. He was an Eagle Scout and remained active in scouting with Penn's Woods Troop 250 for many years. Prior to his retirement, Thomas was employed as a computer operator by Shadyside Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S Air Force. Thomas was preceded in death by his sister, Judith Richardson. Bruce Betters, age 62 of Jeannette, died Wednesday December 20, 2023 at Excela Hospital Greensburg. He was born December 13, 1961 in McKeesport, a son of the late Martin and Minnie Joseph Betters. Bruce graduated from Norwin in 1980. He was self-employed as an HVAC technician and also worked as a motorcycle mechanic. Bruce enjoyed dining out with friends and family, spending time with his son, collecting coins, working in his garage, gunsmithing, and riding his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his first wife Monique and son Mark McCracken. He is survived by his wife, Diane Mitlo, son Paul, brothers Michael (Kathleen) and Martin Jr. (Debbie), sister Sandra Harkins (Allen), and stepdaughters Autumn Mitlo and Rebecca Calloway. Gordon W. Cumming, 91, of Irwin, Hempfield Township, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, at his home. He was born May 7, 1932, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late William and Ruth Snyder Cumming. Gordon was a member of Norwin Alliance Church. He was the pastor of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Hazelwood and was a missionary of the Ivory Coast for 10 years along with his wife. He was a veteran of the Army, having served during the Korean War. Gordon enjoyed his work and was an avid big-game hunter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy L. Lingenfelter Cumming, in 2012. He is survived by his children, Janet Langford, Jeffrey (Sandy) Cumming, David Cumming and Beth (Larn) Alexander; grandchildren, Rebecca Clark, Jason Cumming, Lawrence (Theresa) Alexander, Jeffrey Cumming, Molly (Craig) Backi, Kaitlyn Cumming and Jenna Cumming; and great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Abigail, October, Harlow, Isabella, Luna, Teegan, Callahan, Weston, Aiden and Stella on the way. Carolyn Ann (Justham) Kalina, 85, of North Huntingdon died December 20, 2023 peacefully at home with her children by her side. She was born September 5, 1938 in New Kensington, a daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred (Bone) Justham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Francis "Steve" Kalina and a sister-in-law Deborah Justham. Carolyn was a member of Circleville United Methodist Church for 60 years. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Harmarville Rehabilitation Center, Circleville United Methodist Church as secretary, Irwin Family Chiropractic Clinic, Dollar General, and Redstone Highlands North Huntingdon Campus as manager of the gift shop. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth and Thomas Kalina, a daughter, Kathleen Richards (Patrick), one granddaughter, Leia Richards, a brother Raymond Justham Jr, several nieces and a nephew. Wayne A. Reed, Jr., of South Greensburg (formerly of North Huntingdon), passed away at home on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Wayne was born on January 22, 1968, in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the son of Wayne A Reed Sr and the late Norma Jean (Plues) Reed. Wayne was also proceded in death by his wife Pamela (Bolt) Reed, grandmother Marie Reed and uncles Vaughn R Reed and Garry Buckholz. Richard Lee Sauers, 84 of North Huntingdon died December 18, 2023 at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. He was born March 26, 1939 in North Versailles, a son of the late James Sauers and Myrtle Roberts. Prior to his retirement, Rich was employed as a steelworker for US Steel Iron Works. He enjoyed drag racing, hunting, playing cornhole and was an avid Steelers fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers James, Ted, Bud, and David, and sister Gail.
