Martin “Marty” B. Wood, 64, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Transitions Healthcare, Washington, PA. He was born January 8, 1958 in McKeesport, a son of the late Samuel and Harriett (Bjornberg) Wood. Martin was an electrical estimator for W.R. Casteel Chapman and CED Mosebach. He was a member of the Life Church, Greensburg and was a graduate of Norwin Sr. High School, Class of ’75. He enjoyed skeet shooting, fishing and riding motorcycles. He is survived by his wife, Becky (Crossland) Wood; son, Aaron and his wife, Tracie; daughter, Alicia Walker and her husband, Rasman; grandchildren, Zayden and Gwendolyn. William J. Riley, 87, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully Monday, April 4, 2022. Born February 13, 1935, a son of the late Moral and Alice (Pearson) Riley in McKeesport, he lived every day to the fullest and was a very athletic and proud man. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Evelyn Gross (Eve,) both graduates of McKeesport High School. His children William G (wife Linda), Tamara Brady (husband Thomas of Exton, PA), and Timothy (wife Kathy of Winchester, VA) were the beneficiaries of Bill’s drive to be a fantastic father who worked late into the evenings to be available for play during daylight hours. He loved spending time with his grandchildren; Matthew Soohey, Amanda (Matt) Flamman, Ashley Riley, Allison Riley, Kelsey Riley, Riley Brady, Noah Brady and Brandon Riley. William, an Army veteran, was a wealth manager for Riley Financial Strategies Group, where his oldest son, Bill had the privilege of working with him for 25 years. Bill is also survived by his only brother, Robert (wife Judy) with whom he spent many weekends fishing in Potter County.
Bill was an avid sports fan, especially Pittsburgh sports, as a season ticket holder to the Steelers, Penguins and Pitt Panthers for many years. Him and Evelyn spent many years playing golf with their good friends from Pleasant Valley Country Club and Lincoln Hills, the course where he achieved one of his TWO holes in one (the other was in Sedona, AZ). Him and Eve also spent many days playing tennis with Drennan Heights neighbors. The Drennan community was very tight knit and a neighborhood of weekly picnics and sports contests. Bill and his sons froze the side yard for a hockey rink in the winter months, once even having the fire company stop by to fill the rink. Bill loved travelling with Evelyn, especially to Las Vegas and many golf destinations. Bill truly believed he had a great life and his family got to enjoy his life and those memories will be treasured forever.

John Michael Schmitt, 48, of Jeannette, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at his home. He was born March 31, 1974 in Jeannette, a son of the late Robert and Geraldine (Martchek) Schmitt. John was a graduate of Penn Trafford Senior High School and went onto graduate from Geneva College earning a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. He played defensive lineman for Geneva and was inducted into the Penn Trafford Hall of Fame and Geneva College Hall of Fame. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Wagner. He is survived by his daughter, Ashlee; brother, Jeremy; grandmother, Anna Wagner; loving friends, Robyn McGhee and BJ Howard; longtime friend and coach, Geno DeMarco; and many loving family members. Roberta A. Loucks, 62, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born June 25, 1959 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Roberta was the daughter of the late Raymond and Elsie (Hilbert) Heeney. She was a 1978 graduate of Hempfield Area High School and a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, Greensburg. Prior to her retirement, Roberta was a nurse’s aide at Edgewood Nursing Center. She enjoyed volunteering for the Salvation Army and bowling in her spare time. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, and aunt. Roberta is survived by her loving children Krystina Peoples (Jeremy), Samantha Neiderhiser (Zachary), and Zachary Loucks; brother Patrick Heeney (Lynn); sisters Deborah Bachman (Clark), Dr. Christine Pluto (Eugene); grandchildren, Myah, Emilia, Kasen, Jaxson; numerous nieces and nephews; and grandpup, Axle. Charles R. Frischolz, 70, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at Forbes Regional Hospital. He was born July 16, 1951 in McKeesport, a son of the late William and Thelma (Long) Frischolz. Prior to his retirement, Chuck worked for Interstate Battery. He was a member of Circleville United Methodist Church and a life member of Hartford Heights VFD. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Frischolz. David Iwinski Jr., 60, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at UPMC East, Monroeville. He was born October 15, 1961 in Jeannette, a son of the late David and Eleanor (Badzgon) Iwinski. David was the managing director for Blue Water Growth. He was a member of the Duquesne Club, White Oak Gun Club and Centre County Manor Camp, and loved his dogs, Charley, Sam, Emmy, Lucas and Bernie. Grace Eileen Bindas, 79, of North Huntingdon, passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 28, 2022. Affectionately known as Dirdle, she was born on February 13, 1943 in Raysal, WV, before moving to Clairton, PA. Grace graduated from Clairton High School in 1961. In Clairton, Grace met her loving husband, Johnny at just 16 years old. Grace and Johnny married on November 9, 1963. The two were the loves of each others' lives. She proudly worked at the University of Pittsburgh as an administrative assistant in Pulmonary Medicine and then retired from the University's School of Medicine. Grace enjoyed hosting Sunday family dinners, planting flowers, shopping, sewing, traveling with her AARP group, visiting her daughter in Massachusetts, meeting friends for lunch, munching on potato chips and surprising her loved ones with goodies ordered through QVC. Above all, Grace thrived on the love of her family. In her later years, Grace cherished returning to Raysal with family, taking the long, winding country roads back to the "holler" to see her birthplace. Grace is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Emma Grueso, and her two brothers, Emilio and Manuel Grueso. Dirdle's surviving loved ones include her husband, John of 58 years; children, Karen Sarge, John (Bonnie) Bindas, and Beth (Doug) Vernon; sister, Marie Warren; grandchildren, Rachael, Jakob, Noah, Morgan, Joshua; and her four-legged grand puppies, along with several nieces and nephews. Richard L. Bruce Sr., 72, of West Newton, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Mon Valley Hospital. He was born January 11, 1950 in McKeesport, a son of the late Edward and Minerva (Williams) Bruce. Prior to his retirement, Richard was an home improvement salesman and a veteran of the US Army having served during Vietnam. He was a graduate of Norwin Senior High School Class of '68 and a drummer in "The Ravons". He was a Beatles fan, enjoyed watching movies and loved his dog, "Buddy". Karen E. Campion, 58, of North Huntingdon passed away Friday, March 25, 2022 at her home. She was born July 27, 1963 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late William J. and Eleanor (Landsperger) Pletcher St. Clair. Prior to her retirement, Karen was a French teacher for Bethel Park School District. She enjoyed traveling all over the world and trips to Disney World, and was very active in the local communities through Facebook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald M. Campion; and brother-in-law, Victor Van Allen. Robb Joseph Guyer entered his eternal resting place Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the age of 50. He was at home surrounded by family and friends. Born December 7, 1971 in McKeesport, son of Robert W. Guyer and the late Jane E. (Lyle) Guyer. Robb was a Senior Software Engineer for Chameleon Software LLC. In Pittsburgh. time in various church activities. Robb played trombone for the Penn Trafford Community Band, Jazz

William “Bill” Mays Jr. was a caring husband, father, pap, GP and friend. He peacefully passed away, March 16, 2022 at age 91. He was born to William and Thelma Mays of Coulter, PA on April 6, 1930. Bill went to McKeesport High School where he met his loving wife of 70 years, Elaine (Ohs) Mays. He retired from the B&O Railroad and upon his retirement, he and his wife traveled the world and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. In his free time, Bill served the Methodist Church in downtown Irwin, loved his roses and planting in his garden, and was an avid poker player.

Sharen enjoyed sewing and crocheting afghans, and found much pleasure giving them to family and friends. Michael P. Lyons, 42, of New Stanton, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 at his home. He was born June 22, 1979 in Greensburg, a son of Martin and Susan (Morrison) Lyons. Michael graduated from Norwin Sr. High School in 1998 and was manager of BFS Convenience Store in New Stanton. He adored his nieces and nephews and was known for his sense of humor and infectious laughter. Mike enjoyed spending time with friends and family and had a great love for animals. He is survived by his siblings, Beth (Brett) Lyons-Sternburger, Marty (Stephanie) Lyons and Trisha (Logan) Caswell; fiancee, Claudia Bickerton; nephews and nieces, Zack, Shannon, Paige, Molly, Logan, Delaney and Jillian.
