Michael G. Pishko, 78, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. He was born September 27, 1943 in McKeesport, son of the late Anthony and Mary (Hopey) Pishko. Prior to his retirement, Mike worked as a crew leader for Equitable Gas Co. He was a member of St. Agnes Parish, 11th Ward Club, McKeesport, TOSH Legion, Ligonier and enjoyed watching old black and white movies, yard sales, classic cars and listening to country music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Pishko. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen (Stinson) Pishko; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday at the James W. Leo Bernard (Ben) Kittiko, 92, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at his home. He was born February 9, 1929 in McKeesport, a son of the late Leonard (Leo) and Martha (Jakes) Kittiko. Leo was a graduate of McKeesport High School Class of 1946. He served in the Navy from 1948-1952 and retired from Teledyne-Firth Sterling & Innovative Carbide. He was active at New Hope Presbyterian Church and always served in the choir of whatever church he was attending from the time he was a teen. He enjoyed watching sports on television, especially baseball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Simqu; grandson, Eric Kittiko; son-in-law, Byron Wardropper. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Lee Kittiko; daughter, Bethany Wardropper; son, Paul Kittiko and his wife, Winnie; grandchildren, Joel and Tiffany Wardropper, Katie and Thomas Willis, Heather and Steve Peck, Becky and Josh Word; great-grandchildren, Blake Branthoover, Lainey and Taylor Wardropper, Liam Peck, Connor and Claire Willis, Charlotte and Ava Word. Michael M. Dopkosky, age 64, of North Irwin passed away January 22, 2022 at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. He was born August 24, 1957 in Jeannette, a son of Antoinette Antonellis Dopkosky and the late George Dopkosky. Mike was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. He was employed as a machinist by MSA until medical conditions forced him to retire after a successful liver transplant which gave him the opportunity to be able to spend more time with his loved ones and doing what he enjoyed. He loved fishing and ice fishing, making his own lures, hunting, playing paintball and was an all-around tinkerer and inventor. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Joanne Anderson Dopkosky, three sons, Joseph (Brenda), Adam and Timothy, three sisters, Carol Wassel (Richard), Sherry Sinamond (Randy), Leslie Polansky, five grandchildren, Abigail, Jeremy, Dane, Drew and Lydia and numerous nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Russell. John "Jack" C. Evans, 100, of N. Huntingdon, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at Juniper Village, Forest Hills, PA. He was born September 4, 1921 in N. Braddock, a son of the late Willis and Lillian (Coulson) Evans. Prior to his retirement, Jack was a research technician for US Steel, a WWII veteran of the US Army and a Mason. He was a member of the Circleville United Methodist Church and enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing basketball, doing yardwork, and camping and traveling with Jean. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Jean Evans, great-grandson, Bennett Evans; brothers, Willis and Howard Evans, and sister, Narida Evans Rhodes. Rosemary Beynon, 75, of N. Huntingdon, passed away January 24, 2022 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born, May 19, 1946 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Parker Thomas and Stella (Turchy) Chalmers. Prior to her retirement, Rosemary worked as a replenishment manager for Ames with 28 years of service. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Beynon; daughter, Pamela Rose Beynon; and brother, Thomas Chalmers. Dorothy “Dot” A. Freidhof, 90, of N. Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at UPMC East. She was born July 5, 1931 in Braddock, a daughter of the late Wilbert and Anna (Tirpak) Park. Prior to her retirement, Dorothy was a registered nurse at the Presbyterian Home in Oakmont. She was a member of St. Agnes Parish and enjoyed doing word search puzzles, crossword puzzles, activities at Juniper Village at Monroeville, dancing, listening to oldies music and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Freidhof. Shawn Eric Teamann, 55, of North Huntingdon, was greeted in heaven by his parents Lois and Joseph Teamann on January 20, 2022. He was born February 4, 1966 in Portsmouth, VA. Those that knew Shawn knew him as one of the kindest, most patient and giving people they had met. He was a faithful man who loved our Lord, his family, his church, and his community. As a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Shawn served as Eucharistic Minister until his illness. He was a fan of The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins, loved taking his dog Piper for long walks, and enjoyed family vacations to Sandbridge. Shawn had a successful career as a retail manager, most recently with DSW Shoes. In October of 2020, Shawn was diagnosed with T-Cell Prolymphocytic Leukemia (T-PLL), an incredibly rare and aggressive form of cancer. He had a stem cell transplant on October 28, 2021 with his sister being his donor. Shawn fought hard but his body just couldn’t beat the battle. He leaves behind his wife Cheryl (Twigger), sister Deborah Teamann, sons Stephen (Christina) and Nathan Torok, grandchildren Abbey, Lily and Zack, mother-in-law Pat Twigger, brother-in-law George Twigger, nieces, nephews and many cousins. Lila M. Zacur Ferris, 97, of N. Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at The Grove of Irwin from Covid-related symptoms. Born 1924 in her beloved home town of Latrobe, PA, Lila was preceded in death by her parents, Alec and Sarah (Khoury) Zacur, husband, Elias Ferris, daughter, Jennifer Sarah Ferris, and her siblings, John Zacur, George Zacur, Margaret Newmeyer, Mary Olson, Iva Lipinski and Jennie Shirley. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. For many years prior to her marriage and subsequent move to Houtzdale, PA, Lila lived and worked in Latrobe. Donald A. Palm, 94, of Forest Hill, MD, formerly of N. Huntingdon, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 in Forest Hill Heights, Forest Hill, MD. He was born October 27, 1927 in McKeesport, son of the late Edwin G. and Mabel (Piper) Palm. Prior to his retirement, Don was a nuclear engineer for Westinghouse and a veteran of the US Army Air Force, having served during the Korean War Era.
Over the past 30 years, Don was a dutiful caregiver to several family members, and especially to his wife, Patricia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Huey Palm, his sister Joan (Palm) Kenders, and brothers Dale, Eugene, and Robert. David Felix Monyok, 70, of Irwin, passed away peacefully in his home, Monday, January 17, 2022. David was born January 28, 1951 at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh to Paul and Josephine (Parlak) Monyok. David worked at Medical Wellness Associates for 23 years as Inventory Coordinator and enjoyed being part of the team. David and Kimi were married 37 years. David was a loving husband and a caring, wonderful father and we will remember him as our "fun loving guy!".
