Kenneth R. Rhodes Sr., 56, of Irwin, died Saturday August 10, 2019. He was born December 9, 1962 in McKeesport, a son of the late David and Frieda (Miteneger) Rhodes and was also preceded in death by brothers Thomas and James Rhodes. Ken was a retired cook. He is survived by his children Tanya Edwards, Kenneth R. Rhodes Jr., and Brittany Rhodes; nine grandchildren; and the mother of his children Barbara Baxley.

Theresa P. King, age 88, of West Mifflin passed away on August 16, 2019. She was born in McKeesport on Sept. 12, 1930. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Nellie (Opilowski) Pobojeski, and 13 brothers and sisters. She was retired from Equitable Gas Company after 34 years in billing. William Richard Brown , 92, of Elizabeth Township, passed away at home on Friday, August 16, 2019. He was born February 7, 1927 in Elizabeth and was the son of the late Homer R. and Marjorie (Thompson) Brown. He was the husband of the late Vera (Meyers) Brown who passed away October 17, 2012. They were married for 63 years. He was a member of the Elizabeth United Methodist Church and was a WWII US Navy Veteran. William was a retired Teacher and Counselor at North Irwin and Bethel Park School Districts.

Col. Eugene Stanley Lynch, 85, of Springfield, Va., died August 6, 2019. He was the son of Charles and Viola Lynch.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Virginia Lynch who he referred to her as honey or sweetie and first met her as part of his First Holy Communion class 14 years earlier; sons Michael E. Lynch, William S. Lynch, Brian Lynch; daughters Kathleen Pepper, Pamela Ott; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Sammy, and Kristopher Pepper, Michelle Appel and Matthew Lynch, Courtney and Julianna Ott; great grandchildren Ben and Alexis Pepper; brother Henry Lynch; sister Eleanor Nigro; and wonderful nephews and nieces. Gene was predeceased by his brothers Carl and Leonard Lynch, sister Dolores Gabany.
Gene was a Cadet at West Point as part of the Class of 1956. He attended daily Mass at the Catholic Chapel which helped him throughout his four years. He was an excellent athlete and loved playing intramural sports with lacrosse being his favorite. He was a US Army Ranger Paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division. He served in the Field Artillery during the Vietnam war. During his military service Gene coached his children’s sports teams and teaching his players the fundamentals. Coach Lynch immensely enjoyed his players improvements over the course of the season and his players loved playing for him. He served as an Usher and handed out bulletins at church.
After retiring from the Army in 1982, Colonel Lynch worked for Applied Research Corporation on NASA programs and later for Metters Industries rising to Chief Operating Officer until retiring from private industry.

Vameer Davis, 37, of Rickenbacker, Ohio, departed this life on Saturday, August 10, 2019, in Hamilton Township, Ohio.
He was born August 8, 1982, in Pittsburgh, PA, son of Leevan and Ruth Lena Davis of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Vameer formerly attended Creative Ministries Berachah, while residing in the McKeesport area. He worked for a shipping and handling company in Columbus as a Forklift Operator.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother and father, Leevan and Ruth Lena Davis of Charlotte, North Carolina; children, DeShea Davis and Triston Davis and their mother and his devoted companion of fourteen years, Britney N. Colonel Paul R. Flebotte, Army, Retired, age 79, of North Huntingdon, PA, passed away August 13, 2019. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, the son of French Canadian immigrants. He spent 30 years of service in the Army.
Paul began his military career by volunteering for the draft and enlisting in the infantry. During this period he served one year in Vietnam. After two years he enrolled in Officers Candidate School and received his commission upon graduation. Paul served a second tour in Vietnam. Military intelligence was his specialty. He served most notably as Army Attaché in Saudi Arabia and Morocco and Defense Attaché in Tunisia.
He is survived by Kathy, his wife of over 49 years, and by his son Shawn and wife Crystal; grandchildren Brendan, Olivia, Delaney and Landon; sister Esther Donahue; niece Renee Spring and husband Fred; nephew Mark Donahue and wife Kerry.

Donald Anthony “Tony” Riggs, age 66, of McKeesport, died Tuesday, August 13, 2019. Born on April 7, 1953 and is the son of Lula Mae Riggs of McKeesport and the late Robert Bradley. Donald was a graduate from McKeesport Area High School. He was previously employed at Rendulic Meat Packing, Christy Park Works and retired from Port Authority after 26 years of service. Starting from when he was a young boy, he loved all musical instruments, but especially the saxophone, and eventually became a member of The Workshop Band.
