Dennis Charles Husok, 68, of West Newton, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on August 6, 1955 and was the son to the late Andrew and Stella (Szczerba) Husok. Dennis was a member of many clubs - Buena Vista Owls Cub, Versailles Croatian Club, Elizabeth Township Ex-Servicemen's Club - among others. He enjoyed spending his time at these clubs with his friends, but mostly enjoyed the rides on his Harley. Dennis is a Marine Corp Veteran and served from September of 1973 until being honorably discharged in August of 1976. He is survived by his oldest brother, Andrew (Colleen) Husok of Elizabeth Township - their sons, Josh (Chara) Husok, and Jeremy (Allison) Husok with their children, Ashlynn, Brooklynn, Brinley, & Aubrey Husok, also, their daughter, Brandi Husok; his younger brother, Edward Husok of Lincoln Borough with his son, James Husok; and his youngest brother, David (Karolyn) Husok of White Oak - with their daughters, Tiffany Husok, and Tabatha (Joe) Rush, with their children, Joey, McKenna, & Jackson. Earl E. King, 97 of Elizabeth Township, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023. He was born September 14, 1926 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Cecil Owen and Nellie Madilyn (Beisner) King. He was the husband of the late Mary Jane (Hankins) King who passed away May 12, 2012. They were married for 64 years. Earl was Supervisor at the former US Steel National Tube Works until his retirement in 1982. He was previously a farmer in his younger life. Earl served in the US Navy during WWII. He dropped out of Meadville High School, lied about his age and joined the US Navy. While serving, he ran the US Navy Post Office in New York City. Although he never saw combat, he was proud of his service because he knew he was making sailors happy getting letters from their loved ones. He was an avid gardener until the age of 93 and loved hunting and bowling.

Robert William "Chirpy" Troy, 76 of Elizabeth Township, passed away on October 9, 2023 at home. He was born April 10, 1947 in Weirton, West Virginia and was the son of the late William Troy and Cecil and Beulah Goodwin, who raised him. He retired from US Steel Clairton Works with 37 years of service as a Millwright. Chirpy was a very proud Army Veteran, who served as a sharpshooter and served in Vietnam, for his service he was awarded The National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. Rob was a member of the Ex-Serviceman’s Club of Elizabeth Township, Monongahela VFW Post 1409, and the White Oak American Legion Post 701.

Rose M. Crupie, 90, of White Oak, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023. She was born September 14, 1933 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Vincenza (Liberatore) Amendola. She was the wife of the late Nicholas J. Crupie who passed away August 22, 2009. Rose was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish- St. Patrick Church, Christy Park. She worked for the former Sears Roebuck in McKeesport and later, she and her husband Nick were proprietors of Nick's Confectionary Store on Locust Street in McKeesport until their retirement. She was a 1951 graduate of McKeesport High School.

He was born May 2, 1935 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Peter and Mildred (Mrvos) Stojanovic . George was a member of Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church in Elizabeth Township, The 11th Ward Welfare Association, White Oak American Legion and the Bowling League there, T & P Golf League at Butler's Golf Course, and the former Daily News 55 plus Softball Team. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates Fan, his greatest sports moment was at the 1960 World series game 7 witnessing Bill Mazeroski's winning home run.

Gary Raymond Wilson, 72, of Monessen, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023. He was born in Pittsburgh on February 28, 1951 and was the son to the late Raymond J. and Cecelia E. (Zolinas) Wilson. Gary went to Rosedale Technical Institute where he obtained an Associates Degree as a Diesel Technician. He worked so hard, getting one certification after another, until he reached "Master Technician" levels. He even received a certificate that said he was a "Doctorate of Diesel Mechanics" which then became a lifelong joke that he, in fact, was a doctor. He also worked 21+ years for Mercy Hospital as a Sterile Processing Technician. He enjoyed being outdoors. Hunting, fishing and even camping - Laurel Hill State Park was one of his favorite spots. However, he would go hunting & fishing wherever he had the chance to go.

Stephen "Spike" Krivanich, 92, of Port Vue passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023. He was born in Pittsburgh on February 4, 1931 and was the son to the late George and Mary (Masich) Krivanich. He worked many jobs over the years, but retired as a CFS Salesman from Watterau, now known as SUPERVALU. Spike was a very proud Marine Veteran. He enlisted and served for a year before getting honorably discharged in 1949 - just to get re-drafted in 1950, where he then served another 2 years. He spent most of his life living in Port Vue - he volunteered as a Fireman, and was also a member, long ago, of the American Legion - Port Vue Post #447. He loved Bingo, casinos & playing scratch-off tickets. He loved spending time with his family and being with his grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

Ronald “Ronn” P. Ultis, 76, of Irwin, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023. He was born July 10, 1947 in Fairmont and was the son of the late Andy and Velma (Geiger) Ultis He was the husband of 38 years to the late Wilma S. (Shick) Ultis, who passed away May 30, 2020. Along with his late wife he was a member of member of the Irwin Eagles # 1671, the Irwin Moose Lodge 236, the Wendel Athletic Association, and the Italian Minor’s Society in Hahntown. Wilma and Ronn enjoyed riding their Sportster. Ronn was living in quiet retirement at the time of his passing. He will be greatly missed.

She was the wife of the late Judge Jackson Jr., who passed away November 11, 2009. Patricia Ann Bilak, 85, of Elizabeth Township passed away in Lake City, FL., Tuesday, September 26, 2023. She was born March 1, 1938 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Spisak) Benich. She was the wife of 62 years to the late Michael Bilak, Jr., who passed away January 7, 2017. Pat was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish - St. Michael Church, Elizabeth Township. She was also a member of the former Holy Trinity Church in McKeesport where she was a Eucharist Minister and member of the Christian Mothers. She had worked for the former J.C. Penney Company Catalog at Thrift Drug in Olympia Shopping Center and had previously worked for Tube City Beer Distributing Co., McKeesport. She is survived by her daughters, Karen (John) Shaver of Prospect, KY., Kathy Weis of Forward Township, Janice (Jerry) Padrta of Lake City, FL., and Barbara (Robert) Engle of California, PA, son, Tim (Kathy) Bilak of Elizabeth, grandchildren, Sarah Wilson, Steven Liesinger, Craig Liesinger, Nikki Racer, Kory Bilak, Kayla Bilak, Jonathan Bonnett, Jerry Padrta, Jenna Padrta, Hanna Engle and 6 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many beloved neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bob Weis.

Thomas Vincent Rost, 96, of Greenock, surrounded by his loving family and transcended to the Lords house not made with hands passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023 at home. (The same day of the year that his mother died). Tom was born August 18, 1927 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Paul and Frances Ann (Regensburger) Rost. Tom was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish- St. Michael Church, Elizabeth Township, American Association of Retired Persons, Elizabeth Township Senior Citizens and the Knights of Columbus. Tom is a veteran of World War II serving with the Navy ‘Seabee's’, the battleship U.S.S. Mitchell, and was based in the Philippines. Tom was co-owner of Rost Electric and was proud of the many hospitals, high schools and high rise office buildings in Pittsburgh that he wired as an electrician. Tom belonged to the IBEW Local 5 for 75 years! Tom loved his family and family outings, camping and travel, RVing, gardening, and boating. He built his own home in Greenock in 1952, a beautiful cabin at the Youghiogheny Lake which included a waterfall, paddle wheel and fountain that was built inside the two floors of the cabin. Once Tom retired from his electrical career, he then took on the project of building his daughter and son-in-law’s cherished home in Elizabeth Township.
