Beverly Joyce Wolfe, 81, of Elizabeth Township, went to be with her Lord, early Sunday morning, September 29, 2024.She was born February 7, 1943 in McKeesport and was the only child of the late Raymond "Red" Lewis Wolfe and Elizabeth Jean (Miller)Wolfe. Beverly lived in Elizabeth Township near her large extended family. She was a 1961 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and attended Round Hill Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School. After High School, Beverly attended Mansfield State Teachers College in North Central and was also employed by G. C. Murphy Company at the time.

Richelle Anne "Shelley" Salka, 62, of Bunola passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She was born in Pittsburgh on November 3, 1961 and was the daughter of the late Richard Paul and Louise (Weir) McKee. Shelley worked many years for Matrix Care - an at home nursing care program, as a customer service representative in tech support. She was also a member of the Redeemer Church of South Hills in West Mifflin. She loved going for walks, spending time with her family and enjoyed being around the grandkids. She always had another house project in mind, working on one and immediately starting the next - her and her husband Rod were always making home improvements.

Edward F. "Ed" Scott, 71, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. Ed was born August 21, 1953 in McKeesport and was the son of the late John and Eleanor (Krajewski) Scott. Ed worked for over 24 years as a mobile equipment mechanic for US Steel, starting with the former Duquesne Works and retiring from the Clairton Works location. Ed attended Mary, Mother of God- St. Patrick Church. He was known for his humor, he loved to play jokes on anyone he could, and make people laugh. Ed was also known by his family to be very kind hearted, but also very stubborn. He was an excellent mechanic, a handyman around his home and a jack of all trades. He was an avid gardener, who loved to grow green beans, green peppers, tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. He loved making a jumbo sandwich with Hellman's mayonnaise and fresh tomatoes from his garden on Rye bread. Ed was a sports fan and loved to cheer on the Steelers and Penguins. He was also a homebody and took great pride in his lawn. Ed enjoyed cooking, was known for his delicious apple and berry pies. Ed loved his family and his dogs, especially Leo and the late CD. He will be greatly missed.

Barbara Mayes Cant, 85, was called home to her Lord on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. She was the daughter of the late John Alfred and Helen Marie (Cristman) Chambers. She was born In McKeesport on May 4, 1939 and grew up in Dravosburg. She worked for Lester J. Gordon DDS as a dental assistant in McKeesport for 14 1/2 years. Barb then worked at Visiting Nurses of Allegheny County for 20 years as a CNA and then hospice until she retired. She was a member of Round Hill Presbyterian Church and enjoyed going to bible studies. Previously belonging to Immanuel Presbyterian Church in McKeesport for 50 years where she went to bible studies, sang in the choir and was a Deacon and Elder. She loved reading, camping, playing the clarinet, fishing, gardening, and taking pictures of every beautiful thing she saw - especially birds. She is preceded in death by her husbands James Dewey Neel Jr., and Robert John Cant Jr. She is survived by step-sons, Guy (Carol) Cant, and Jack (Kristine) Cant; step-grandsons, Jeremiah (Jeri) Cant, and Jesse Cant; step-great-grandsons, Jacan, and Joel Cant; sister-in-laws, and cousins. Quentin Lloyd Haigy, 67, of Bunola, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024. He was born in McKees Rocks on October 3, 1956 and was the son of the late Robert Dale Haigy and the late Esther Marie (Masters) Salka. Elizabeth Forward class of '74 graduate and Air Force Veteran - Quentin was a jack of all trades. He worked many jobs through the years, lastly working for Victory Hills Golf Course in Maintenance. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Cynthia (Herb) Hamilton of Daybrook, WV., Crystal Grimes of Uniontown, Cherie (Ronald) Kertis of Elizabeth, Frank (Tracey) Salka, Jr. of Elizabeth, Charles Owens of Bunola, and Connie (George) March of Bunola; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Xander Michael Maxwell, 18, of Wall, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. He was born on May 20, 2006 and was the beloved son of his parents Derek M.B. Maxwell and Destiny Marie Wehrhan. He was a 2024 Graduate from East Allegheny High School and he worked for Century 3 Kia as a parts specialist. Xander had a passion for gaming, building his own PC, which he used to livestream Fortnite and Valorant, on Twitch. He was a very tall, beautiful, loving and big hearted man. He was very intelligent, funny and had an amazing sense of humor. He was genuinely one of a kind. Most importantly he made his parents and siblings very proud and he was an amazing friend.

Kenneth E. "Tiny" Wesolowski, 33, of West Mifflin passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024. He was born in McKeesport on July 6, 1991 and is the son of Kenneth Wesolowski, and Tracy (step-father, Terrance) Coulter. After high school, Ken obtained a degree from the University of Northwestern Ohio as an Auto Mechanic, and eventually training for Diesel. He later began working on heavy machinery and operating equipment for a fracking company- NexTier, who he has been with for several years. In addition to his parents, Ken is survived by his brother, Patrick (Emily) Coulter of Forward Township, and his aunt & uncle, Carol & Ken Soubeyrand of Clairton - as well as so many loving friends. Shirley Jean (Winnett) Nelson, 84, of North Huntingdon passed away on Monday, Sept. 9, 2024 at Forbes Regional Hospital surrounded by family. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Loretta Winnett; her brother- and sister-in-law, Wenzel and Marilyn Bohman; and her daughter-in-law, Michelle Nelson. Neil Robert Jones, 62, of Irwin, passed away surrounded by his family on September 9, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 25, 1961 in McKeesport, PA. He was the son of Betty Lou (Culbert) Jones and the late James A. Jones. Neil graduated as valedictorian from McKeesport High School in 1979, where he was also a captain of the swim team. He earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from Grove City College and later obtained a Master's in Education from Penn State University. In the 1980s, Neil became a paramedic with White Oak Rescue Squad. He went on to work with the Center for Emergency Medicine, where he taught pediatric trauma care, served as a flight medic for Stat MedEvac, and worked as a manager at Children's Hospital. He also taught at the Community College of Allegheny County.

Joseph “Joe” Howard Lynch age 70, of Pickerington Ohio passed away on September 6th 2024. Joe was born February 16th in Pittsburgh, PA to Marguerite H. (Pfalzgarff) and Nelson C. Lynch. Joe lived in Perry, Ohio for 35 years before moving to Pickerington Ohio. He was a graduate of West Mifflin High School in PA and later Tiffin University. He prioritized education and among his proudest achievements was supporting all of his children in earning college degrees. Joe met the love of his life, Robin Lynn Filer, at 17 years old while working at Murphy Mart. They married in 1975 beginning their eternal adventure together. Together they built a family that was his greatest source of joy. Joe loved and served others throughout his life as a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. Joe was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many capacities including bishoprics, youth group leader, and as a Seventy. Professionally Joe was successful in several capacities, most notably spending 30 years as a member of Health Physics/Radiation Protection department at the Perry Nuclear Plant. He retired in 2017 to enjoy traveling with Robin and visiting his beloved grandchildren. Joe loved his family, friends, and dogs. He enjoyed attending Cleveland baseball games, 60’s music, traveling, and watching science fiction movies/tv. He came from a long line of Master Carpenters and honed his skill from working with his own father. Joe enjoyed building everything from beds and bookshelves to a multi room addition on the family home in Perry.

She was born on March 5, 1947 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late William Paige and Kathleen Karon (Keys) Wilcher. She was the wife of the late John R. Burnsworth. Janet was a member of the Coast Guard Auxilary, Mon Valley Boat Club and she raised money for Aboard, a program for children with Autism. She is survived by her children, William (Susan) Forkey of Clairton, Richard (Sherry) Forkey Sr. of White Oak and Jammie Fridley of Glassport; step-daughter, Karen Burnsworth; grandchildren, Danielle (Chad) Lofstrom (their children Maddix, Deklin and Easton), Deanna Forkey (their mother Sherry Morris), Anthony (Allison) Hertzig, Shelby Fridley, Leighta Fridley, Richard Forkey Jr., Abigail Forkey, Madison Dunnett, Avery Forkey, Alexis Weig,and Brittany Morrill; numerous great-grandchildren, sister, Kathy J. Rich, brother, William C. Wilcher, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Bonnie B Stoke and Karon D.
