Eleanor A. Powell, 84, of Buena Vista, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022. She was born November 20, 1937 in Finleyville and was the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth (Howard) Smith. She was the wife of the late Frederick Powell, Jr., who passed away July 4, 1984. Eleanor worked many jobs throughout her life, but her biggest accomplishment was raising seven children. Prior to retirement, she worked for Buena Vista Post Office as a Clerk.

Steven Prontiker, 82, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022. He was born July 26, 1940 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Kish) Prontiker. He was the husband of the late Susan Marie (Edkins) Prontiker, who passed away November 30, 2012. Steven was a US Army Veteran and worked as a Boilermaker for the former US Steel Homestead Works and then was a millwright for the former Fisher Body Auto Works. He was a longtime Elizabeth Township resident and a devoted family man. He also enjoyed walking on The Youghiogheny River Trail in Buena Vista. He is survived by his children, Amy Ortiz, Beth Prontiker, Scott (fiancée, Mary) Prontiker and Sue (Bill) Morrow; grandchildren, Desiree, Jordan, Enrique, Denim, Katie, Jake, Stevie, Scotty (Angelina), Samantha and Jack; sister, Mary Ann Prontiker; and brother, William "Bill" (Denise) Prontiker. He was preceded in death by siblings, Helen Prontiker, Frances Kerr, Margaret Prontiker, Patricia Reitz and Mike (the late Lorraine) Prontiker and John Prontiker. George W. "Tony" Fellabaum, Jr., 82, of Buena Vista, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022. He was born November 25, 1939 in Elizabeth Township and was the son of the late George W. Fellabaum, Sr., and the late Sarah Jane (McSurdy) Fellabaum. Tony was proud to be a member of the Drywall Finishers - Local 2006. He was a US Marine Corps Veteran serving from 1958 to 1962 and for his service, he received the Good Conduct Medal.

He was born July 29, 1956 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Donald Edward Pronic, Sr., and the late Louise (Rapczak) McNeal. He was the husband of the late Sherry (Moore) Pronic. Donald was a 1976 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and worked for Monark Student Transportation Corp. He loved collecting guitars, baseball cards, and old relics. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steeler Games.

Wayne Henry Nelson, 86, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022. He was born July 11, 1936 in McKeesport and was the son of the late John Henry and Florence (Wallace) Nelson. Wayne served in the US Army as a Tank Driver from 1959 - 1962 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. He worked as a Steel Worker for Irvin Works for many years leading up to retirement. He avid fisherman and hunter with his long time friend, John Laska and other friends. Wayne and his wife enjoyed "glamping" for the past 40+ years.

Roxanne L. Williams, 71, of White Oak, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at The Baldwin Health Center. She was born August 8, 1951 in Lexington, KY and was the daughter of Ondeine Williams of Penn Hills and the late Bill L. Williams. Roxanne worked for many years as a nurse. She was very caring and helped people with traumatic brain injuries. She also worked in Geriatrics and loved that work as well. She enjoyed traveling the country as a long haul truck driver, but her greatest passion was writing poems and short stories in rhyme. She was the creator and administrator of "Poetry Rhyme", a renowned online poetry group and was a published author of her book " The Caged Bird Sings". Her poems and short stories had been on radio and broadcast in The UK on several well known radio programs. She was also a lover of nature and animals. She will be truly missed.

James "Jim" Stephen Lukacena, 71, of Boston, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022. He was born March 26, 1951 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Michael and Margaret (Kapinus) Lukacena. Jim was a 1969 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and had worked for the former Merritt Construction Co., and the former US Steel National Tube works. Jim collected watches and knives and loved to watch basketball. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed working in his garden and growing pumpkins, some of which were over 100 lbs. Twice, the former McKeesport Daily News wrote articles about him and his pumpkins and referred to him as “Farmer Jim”.

Salomea "Sally" Ann Prailey, 87, of Boston, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 at home. She was born August 22, 1935 in Boston and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Martinaitis) Wroblewski Snyder. She was the wife of the late Frederick R. Prailey who passed away February 26, 2010. They were married for 56 years. Sally was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church in Christy Park. She was an Administrative Assistant to the District Manager at the former J.C. Penny Co. in the Eastland Mall, She worked there from 1967 to 1997. She had previously worked at McKeesport AAA, Helmsteder's, and Balsamo's. Sally was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an excellent homemaker and loved to cook, bake, and make candy. She was also a seamstress and made clothes for herself, her daughter and even made miniature Barbie Doll clothing. She loved her cats, reading, gardening and watching the history and educational channels. She enjoyed knitting, crochet, crossword puzzles and motorcycling with her husband. She was quick witted, ornery, and extremely strong willed. She was an impeccable dresser and loved sweets and chocolate. Sally and Fred loved to travel and were once labeled "The Travel Couple" by the former McKeesport Daily News.

Jay Patrick Null, 60, of McKeesport, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 after a courageous battle with ALS. He was born December 4, 1961 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Robert M. Null, Sr., and the late Mary M. (Madden) Null. Jay was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish- St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Township and was also a member of the church choir. Jay was a 1979 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and received his Bachelor's degree from Penn State University and his MBA from Waynesburg University. He was a Senior Marketing Engineer for Westinghouse. Jay was a very kind, compassionate man who cared very deeply for his family, friends and neighbors. He loved dogs, gardening, and was an excellent cook and baker.
