Patricia Lorraine Williams, 84, of Elizabeth, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at home. She was born September 3, 1937 in Reynoldsville, PA and was the daughter of the late Carl Sheldon and Annabelle (Riggs)Vandervort. She was the wife of the late George Williams, Sr., who passed away in 1984. Patricia worked as a phlebotomist and also was a dessert designer for the Youghiogheny Country Club. She also enjoyed candle and craft making. Patricia is survived by daughter, Dawn Williams, sons, David Williams, and Dan Williams, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was retired from WHEMCO Steel Casting and had previously worked for US Steel Irvin Works, Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and Tuscaloosa Steel. He was a avid motorcycle rider and was highly artistically creative and loved wood working.

Elizabeth L. (Brosky) Lucas, 39, of Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 after a courageous battle against cancer. She was born April 11, 1982 in Washington, PA and is the daughter of Jane E. (Brosky) Huff and the late Russell J. Huff, Jr. She is the loving wife of Wayne W. Lucas, Jr., whom she married July 1, 2006. Elizabeth graduated from South Park High School in 2000. She was active in the band and theatre. She was a member of the Pioneer drum and Bugle corps and traveled around the US several summers of her teenage years. She studied Technical theatre at CCAC and worked in Technical Theatre for many groups around the city. She worked at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival and was an active member of the Pittsburgh Savoyards. She was a majority member of Shawnee Assembly of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and a Past Worthy Advisor. She was a member of Anna M. Rote Memorial Chapter of Eastern Star and a Past Matron of Elizabeth Chapter. She was a Girl Scout leader for Troop #30753 in Elizabeth Township and worked with the Boy Scouts Troop #99.

Nancy Jane Arnold, 89, of Elizabeth Township, passed away, Wednesday, February 9, 2022. She was born April 6, 1932 in McKeesport and is the daughter of the late Dave and Nellie (Melegari) Contrella. She was the wife to the late Edgar A. Arnold, who passed away September 20, 1997. She is a long time member of Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church and dedicated a lot of time in the nursery, choir, office and many other aspects of the church and was even a deacon at one point. She was a part of a bowling league and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Her favorite time was spent with family and loved every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy is also known for making delicious homemade bread, that the whole family loved.

Gerald Ross Waugh, 72, lifelong resident of Port Vue, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022. He was born March 29, 1949 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Lamont and Betty (Cole) Waugh. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 49 years, Sherri (Raymer) Waugh. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 1. Gerry is also survived by his sons, Monte (Dana) Waugh and Lyle (Shawna) Waugh. Also proud grandpa of Trent and Logan Waugh. Gerry served honorably on the USS Theodore Roosevelt on 5 Polaris deterrent patrols during the Vietnam War. Once out of the Navy, he worked in the automobile business. After he retired, he and Sherri enjoyed traveling and antiquing. One of his favorite hobbies was finding antique clocks and restoring them. There is no visitation. Private burial with Military Honors will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date. Richard "Rich" Maley, 66, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born March 27, 1955 in McKeesport and was the son of the late William and Dorothy Mae (Herb) Maley. Rich was a 1973 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and was the former President of TICO Electric, Inc. He was a member of IBEW Local # 5, F & AM Duquesne-McKeesport Lodge # 731, Royal Order of Jesters Court # 2, the Syria Shrine, the National Electrical Contractors Association, and the Buena Vista, Elizabeth, & Blaine Hill Volunteer Fire Companies. Rich was also on the Elizabeth Township K-9 committee. He was a former President of the McKeesport Rotary Club and Scout Master for Troop 99 in Mt Vernon. Rich always enjoyed entertaining as he had a love for cooking, especially at Steeler game tailgates. He made many memories with friends while hunting and traveling on motorcycles or his favorite toy, the Polaris Sling Slot. Whether he was performing a magic trick or telling a joke, he always made sure you had a good time.

Byron Handra, Jr., 75, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022. He was born February 12, 1946 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Charles B. and Edith (Biddle) Handra. Byron was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi Church in McKeesport, and also a member of R.O.M.E.O.S. He graduated McKeesport High School in 1964 and the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He was a retired Technical Manager at the Bettis Atomic Laboratory and was an Active Responder at the Three Mile Island Accident in 1979. Byron was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran serving as a proud member of the Seawolves HA(L)-3. For his service he received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He loved his family and lived for his grandchildren that made him so proud. Byron loved to vacation with his family in Ocean City, NJ.

William E. Barnocky, 94, of Port Vue passed away Friday, January 28, 2022. He was born February 12, 1927 in Port Vue and is the son of the late Joseph J. and Anna (Bartko) Barnocky. He was the husband of 66 years to the late Margaret J. (Winter) Barnocky, who passed away in 2018. William graduated from McKeesport Vocational High School and joined the US Army during WW2. Afterwards, he worked for two different Mills as a laborer; Kelsey-Hayes Wheel Co. and Teledyne Firth Sterling. He is a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish - St. Eugene's, which used to be known as St. Mark's in Port Vue. He enjoyed trips to the casino, but mostly Atlantic City.

Jennifer Bachman Wentroble, 50, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022. She was born October 2, 1971 and is the daughter of Patricia (Sharp) Hoffman and James Hoffman of Elizabeth Township, and Francis Bachman of Imperial. Jennifer attended Indiana University of PA and Penn State McKeesport, completing her nursing degree at Community College of Allegheny County to become a Registered Nurse. Jennifer had been employed at Kane Regional Center McKeesport, where she was a dedicated, caring nurse, and a part of the wound team. Jen was also a Pediatric Nurse working for years at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh and later as a specialty nurse for children needing long-term care. Jennifer loved being a nurse. To both patients and friends, Jennifer was a caring, compassionate, funny and giving person. She was a skilled rock climber, overcoming her fear of heights and a shoulder injury. She was passionate about protecting the environment and loved to take her two dogs on long walks through the woods. Jen enjoyed working at the Vintage Grand Prix with her dad, making potato haluski during lent with her grandma, mom and the church ladies at St. Max, and treating the family to her potato and cheese pierogies on Christmas Eve.
