Amy Lynn Wallace, 47, of Liberty Borough, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away at home with her family by her side on Friday, August 12, 2022. She was born October 14, 1974 in McKeesport and was the daughter of Robert C. (Penny Romano) Wallace of Elizabeth Township and Bernice Stanchik (Tim) McDonald of Elizabeth Township. Amy was a Child Psychologist and worked for the Elizabeth Forward School District. She was a 1992 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and 1999 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania. She was a member of White Oak American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and she was also a member of numerous professional organizations.

Patricia Rae Shaw, 85, of White Oak passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022. She was born in McKeesport and is the daughter of the late William and Blanche (Hall) Connelly. Pat is the wife to the late Arthur D. Shaw, who passed away September 22, 1991. She was a member of St. Angela Church and a long time volunteer at the Intersection in McKeesport, where food and supplies are donated and given to those in need.

Charles A. "Charlie" Ricciotti, 86, of Mt. Vernon passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022. He was born June 16, 1936 in McKeesport and was the son to the late Charles and Anna (Lind) Ricciotti. Charlie graduated from McKeesport High School in 1954 and went into the Army, where he served from 1959-1962 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. He worked as a Machinist for US Steel - National Tube Works, among many other machine shops through the years. He was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish - St. Patrick's Church, a part of Christy Park and Renzie Park Seniors, White Oak VFW Post 701, and the ISDA. In his younger years, Charlie was an avid tennis player and instructor.

Kenneth M. Mitchell, minister, teacher, loyal brother, loving son, uncle, and friend, sadly passed away on August 1, 2022, at a senior living facility, The Sheridan at Bethel Park. He died as a result of late-stage dementia at the age of 74. A wise man once stated, “if you must choose, take a good name rather than great riches; for to be held in loving esteem is better than silver and gold.” Proverbs 22:1 The Living Bible. Ken chose a good name rather than riches and in doing so was held in loving esteem by many in the community.

He was born January 4, 1993 in Pittsburgh and was the son of David P. and Linda Marie (Weslowski) Cubakovic of North Huntingdon. Tyler was a member of Bridge City Church in White Oak and was a Drummer in the church band there. He was a 2011 graduate of Norwin Senior High School and was also a 2015 graduate of Geneva College. He worked for Tucker Auto-Mation in North Huntingdon and had previously worked for Premier Automation.

John Michael Firda, born in McKeesport on July 24th, 1929, passed away on July 30th, 2022, surrounded by his family at the age of 93. John met his wife, the beautiful Agnes Bernadette (Behun) Firda at the moment of his departure to begin their journey to heaven together. John’s parents Marie (John) Jamnicky and John Firda, along with his siblings Dorothy, Bobbie, and Irene proceeded him in death and have been waiting for his arrival. John is survived by his two sons Gregory and Jeffrey (Tammy) Firda, his three grandchildren, Johnathan, Avonlea (Blaine), and Lexi Firda (Scooby & Sage) and his brother Bernie (Christine) Jamnicky along with many loving nieces and nephews and his beloved dog and best friend Chuckie.

Ronald Gene Little, 87, of White Oak, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022. He was born February 9, 1935 in Glassport and was the son of the late Herbert James little, Sr. and the late Madelyn (Grice) Little. Ron was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, and was a retired salesman for Chem Central. He is survived by his wife, Violet Joan (Fundrella)  Little, son, Dr. Gregory Little of Erie, daughters, Catherine Catanzaro of Greenock and Joell Catanzaro of Port Vue, and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his sons, Ronald Little, Jr., and Samuel Catanzaro, and brothers, Herbert, Raymond and Larry Little. Robert Denis Wills, 77, of Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022. He was born April 30, 1945 in McKeesport and was the son of the late August and Rose (Iouale) Wills. He was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish in Elizabeth Township, and was also a member of the White Oak American Legion. He played Softball for over 50 years on many area leagues and was a volunteer at the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer in Elizabeth Township. Robert Served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.

Robert "Bob" Braun, 82, of White Oak, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022. He was born on Crawford Street in Duquesne on November 25, 1939 and is the son of the late George M. and Emma (Padjen) Braun. His family moved to Elizabeth Township when he was eight years old. Bob married the late Marian (Markovic) Braun on May 9, 1975. His first job was a parking lot attendant for Balsamo's. Along with his father George; he operated a gas station on Walnut Street in McKeesport, while they each had other jobs. Bob was at Christy Park Mill and his father was at Duquesne U.S. Steel Mill. He also worked at Edgar Thompson Steel Mill from which he retired. He was the go to man if you needed anything done, he was always willing to help. Bob belonged to the Eleventh Ward Club in Christy Park and the Croation Fraternal Union of Versailles. He may have been raised in Elizabeth Township, but he spent a lot of time in McKeesport where he had many friends, even the McKeesport police. He loved to tell stories of his life in McKeesport while keeping those in his presence laughing. He had a good recollection of his life.

Daniel "Dan" Pacich

Daniel "Dan" Pacich, 79, of Clairton passed away early Thursday morning, July 21, 2022. He was born February 5, 1943 in Clairton and is the son of the late Louis and Francis (Olesky) Pacich.  He was a member of the former St. Mary Serbian Orthodox Church in Clairton before closing their doors, and also a member of The American Legion, Post 75 in Clairton. Dan worked as an Iron Worker and eventually retired after 25 years, giving him a lifetime membership with Local #3. Now a veteran, he also served in the United States Army where he was a Private Driver for their General and was awarded the Sharpshooter Rifle Medal.

Margaret A. Handel, 82, of White Oak, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022. She was born April 20, 1940 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Joseph Hromyak Jr. and the late Catherine (Hook) Hromyak. She was the wife of the late Frederick G. Handel, Sr., who passed away April 17, 2001. She was an active member of Refuge Church in Manor. Reading scripture gave her peace and comfort. Margaret was also a member and former EMT at Greenock Fire Co. in Elizabeth Township, and a Boy Scout Den Mother. She was a graduate of McKeesport High School Class of 1958 and Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1960. Margaret was an RN and had retired from Jefferson Hospital after 20 years of service. She previously worked for US Steel Homestead and US Steel Clairton.

Dolores A. Ikach-Lefcort, 90, of McKeesport passed over on July 19, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. She was born December 19, 1931 in Wilmington, DE and is the daughter of the late Eva Love Butler-Chalfont and Robert Allen Hornick. She leaves a legacy of work-ethic and love that is carried on by five children, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is proceeded in death by husbands Yugoslav Ikach and Edwin “Scotty” Lockhart. She is survived by husband: Alan Lefcort; siblings, Evalee Kunes, Joseph “Barney” Brindza (Claudia), and Joan Smith; children, Linda (Gilbert Palm), Robert Lockhart, Lissa (Jerry Hostomsky), Donna (Robert Maguire), and Yugo (Charmaine Ikach); grandchildren, Mindy Chappell (Jason), Melissa Tibbetts (Jeffrey), Matthew Palm (Michelle), Benjamin Maguire (Giuliana), Edward Charles “Tres” Townsend III, Savannah Ikach, Arwen Ikach, Isaac Ikach, and Isabelle Ikach; great-grandchildren, Abigail Palkovitz (David), Anna Chappell, Elizabeth Tibbetts, Rebecca Tibbetts, Grace Chappell, Victoria Tibbetts, Matthew Palm, and great-great-grandchild Mila Palkovitz.

She was born July 25, 1927 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Leo and Marie Whigham Mullaly.  She was the wife of 7 years to the late Louis Luberti, who passed away December 19, 1991. Marie was a proud graduate of The Mercy School of Nursing in Pittsburgh.  She was also a United States Army Cadet Nurse. She proudly worked as a nurse for over 50 years.  Marie was a life long member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.

He was the son of the late Albert and Dora (Ainsworth) Combetty. Rick retired from Bechtel Bettis as an HVAC Technician. He was also proprietor of Combetty Heating and Cooling. Rick was a graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He was a man of great character and known for his integrity who always put others first. His greatest loves were his family and his dog Rosco. He was an avid Mustang enthusiast who enjoyed attending car shows with his 1991 Mustang. He also enjoyed cooking and trying new restaurants.
