Pamela Ann King (Miller) of Baldwin (formerly Pleasant Hills) passed away on May 18, 2024 at AHN Jefferson Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 28th, 1961 in Washington, Pennsylvania to Lois M. (Lennix) Miller and the late Frank C. Miller. She graduated from Upper St. Clair High School in 1979. She graduated from Gannon University with an associates degree in medical assistance, before starting a family. Her daughters and grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved spending time with them creating memories. She also loved sitting outside in the sun, country music, traveling, gardening, crafting, and of course Snoopy. She dedicated 35 years of service to Giant Eagle, where she created numerous lifelong friendships that became more like family. She leaves behind her three daughters, Amanda Nicole Ishman (Daniel), Ashley Mae Morgan (Matt), and Amy Lynn King. She also leaves behind her five grandchildren, Kyleigh Grace Morgan, Chandler James King, Kinsley Faith Morgan, Allison Hope Morgan, and soon to be Baby Girl Ishman.

Daniel Salvatore Trovato, 67, of Liberty Borough, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024. He was born August 6, 1956 in Braddock and was the son of the late Salvatore and Leona Catherine (Kropczynski) Trovato. He was the husband of the late Michele Marie (Chiaverini) Trovato who passed away June 26, 2017. Dan was a Licensed Master Plumber and was retired from US Steel Irvin Works. He had previously worked for Union Switch and Signal, Pozzuto Plumbing, Roto Rooter, General Motors, CAPCO, and Sand Castle. He enjoyed home improvement projects, gardening and lawn care, the Steelers, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, outdoor concerts, watching fireworks on the 4th of July from his driveway and making traditional Italian Pizzelle waffel cookies for everyone to enjoy. He was a 1974 graduate of Norwin High School and was a member of the Palanese League of America in Christy Park.

Jane (White) Stevanus, 88, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2024. She was born June 19, 1935 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Frank and Edith White. She was the wife of the late George E. Stevanus, who passed away October 15, 2004. Jane was a member of the Boston United Methodist Church, Versailles AARP and the McKeesport Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She was a graduate of McKeesport High School and the Douglas Business School. She was retired from Mobilecom Paging Co., and had previously worked for Digital Paging, PCB Federal Credit Union, and the Westinghouse Atomic Plant. She is survived by her daughter, Linda M. (Christopher) Rusnak of Plum, grandsons, Tyler G. Rusnak and Trent L. Rusnak, sister, Helen Weiskircher of North Huntingdon, and nephews, Ken (Dee) Reese, Dale (Sylvia) Reese, Craig (Terri) Reese, and Jay (Ann) Weiskircher. She was predeceased by her son, Roy V. Stevanus, and a niece, Debra (Charles) Costello. Friends are welcome Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston. Officer K-9 Eli Novacek, 9 years old, dedicated police canine and family dog of Elizabeth Township Police Department passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Eli was sworn into duty May 26, 2016 and was trained in patrol & narcotics. During his time on duty, he was responsible for numerous drug raids, and arrests. Outside of patrol, Eli was an amazing family dog with an outgoing personality. You would often see Eli with his handler Officer Dan Novacek at every event the township and school district held. From attending new business' opening days, to all holiday parades, and even the PR events and take your child to work days - Eli was right there. He was fantastic with kids. Always playful and energetic, and if you ever threw his red Kong ball, even just once, your friendship was instant. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all of the businesses and sponsors over the years who have donated and supported Eli through his entire career.

Robert R. "Uncle Bob" Slonecker, 87, of Buena Vista, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024. He was born August 27, 1936 in Lowber and was the son of the late Raymond and Mabel (May) Slonecker. He was the husband of the late Jean (Landini) Slonecker, who passed away July 2, 2009. He was known by many people as "Uncle Bob." He enjoyed hunting, fishing, picking wild berries and spending time with his friends and family. He kept his independence his entire life still driving his car at age 87.

Gary Edward Czapor, 76, of North Huntingdon, formerly of White Oak, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024. He was born October 13, 1947 in McKeesport and was the son of Annette Helen (Novitski) Czapor and the late Edward Czapor. Gary was in the first graduating class of 1965 of Serra High School and would go on to attend Slippery Rock University, where he was a member of Alpha Chi Rho. Gary worked as a guidance director for over 30 years at Serra Catholic High School, where he was a longtime track coach as well. He had previously worked at St. Elizabeth School in Pleasant Hills. He was a fisherman and also loved to hunt. He was known as a great gardener and cook as well. He was an avid reader, who was known to read a newspaper cover to cover. He will be greatly missed.
