Helen Virginia Feick, 95, of Land O' Lakes, Florida, died Thursday, August 16, 2018. She was born February 20, 1923 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Swauger) McKay. She was the wife of the late Donald C. Feick who died in 1986. Helen was a homemaker and enjoyed watching her soaps, playing Bridge and crocheting. She is survived by her son, James M. (Sherrie) Feick of Forward Township and daughter, Sharon Falk of Land O' Lakes, FL, grandchildren, Eric Feick, Brad Falk and Martin Feick, great-grandchildren, Cody Feick, Travis Ransick and Cillian Feick, and great-great-granddaughter, Hannah Ransick.

John Townslan Hoak, 77, of Elizabeth Township, died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at home. He was born May 17, 1941 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Roderick and Martha (McLean) Hoak. John served as a Paratrooper for 2 years in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division. He spent most of his life being self-employed. His talents as a multi-skilled Craftsman led to being co-owner of Hoak Brothers, Inc., West Newton Lumber Co. , Yough Fuel and Energy and most recently Hoak Construction, Inc., building quality homes. His favorite pastime was enjoying adventures with his wife and grandchildren, especially involving travel. He was a mentor to many young men and was a member of the NRA. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol A. (Kite) Hoak. They were married June 13, 1964. He is also survived by his sons, John B. (Jessie Sedlock) Hoak and Jeffrey T. (Tabatha) Hoak of Elizabeth Township and Jason C. (Melissa Kelly) Hoak of Pittsburgh, sister, Martha Jane Donaldson of Buena Vista, grandchildren, Jeffrey (Alysa), Jacob, Randy, Jason, Ashley, and Julia, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and many brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws.

Gerard "Jerry" Francis Boyle, Jr., 77, of White Oak, died Thursday, August 9, 2018 at home. He was born November 9, 1940 in Pittsburgh and was the son of the late Gerard F. and Elizabeth D. (Fesco) Boyle. Jerry retired from AT & T and had previously worked for TCI Cable and Centre Video. He was a US Army Veteran and was a member of various social and fraternal organizations. Gloria J. (Ferry) Pecora, 95, of Boston, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at home. She was born May 17, 1923 in Boston and was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Louise (Castine) Ferry. She was the wife of the late Samuel A. Pecora, Jr. who died September 29, 2016. They were married for 74 1/2 years. Gloria was a member of St. Patrick Parish in Christy Park where she also served as Eucharistic Minister, Usher, Lector, Ladies of Charity and Christian Mothers. She had worked for Union Cleaner's in Elizabeth Township for 15 years and was a volunteer at McKeesport Hospital for 21 years. Gloria is survived by her sisters, Lucille Angotti of Jefferson Hills and Estelle Beresford of Harrison City, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Michael Lee Nuttall, 45, of McKeesport, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at home.
He was born in Jeannette and was the son of George R. and Patricia Ann Bodnar Nuttall of McKeesport. Michael worked as a carpet cleaner and maintenance for Mark of Excellence. He was a die-hard Steelers fan, who had a Steelers museum. He enjoyed working on and fixing cars in his spare time. He would do anything for anyone and never expected anything in return. Michael prided himself in being a provider and his family always came first.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Beth Ann (Forsythe) Nuttall, two sons, Mike J. (Fiancée, Kayla) Nuttall, and Shane M. Nuttall, both of Sutersville, granddaughter, Annabella Nuttall, brother George Nuttall of McKeesport, sisters, Janet Nuttall of Monroeville and Helen Nuttall of North Versailles, father-in-law, Glen Forsythe of McKeesport, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his dogs, Jojo and Jade and the late Bruno.

Michael Anthony "Duke" Carlson, 72, of White Oak, died Thursday, July 19, 2018. He was born February 26, 1946 in Mineola, New York, and was the son of the late Bernard and Rose Marie (Lamberti) Carlson. Mike grew up in Port Washington (Long Island) New York and moved to Pittsburgh in 1969. He was a machinist for US Steel National Tube Works from 1970 to 1982 and in 1978 became proprietor of Carlson Tree Care, LLC. He never retired, and until recently was climbing trees and cutting firewood. Mike was a member of the Tree Care Industry Association. He is survived by his wife, Roxane Stewart, daughters, Kate (Jason) Zavacky of White Oak and Kristin Carlson of Irwin. He is also survived by Corinna (Jason) Fox and their children, Mackenzie and Cooper Fox of New Jersey, and Christopher (Kevin Hsyeh) Gaal of California. He was preceded in death by his son, Kirk Carlson.
