Loretta L. Sabol, age 89, of Duquesne, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the home of her son. Born in Duquesne on January 21, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John and Betty (Sabo) Kukta. She was a secretary for the University of Pittsburgh and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-St. Agnes Church.

She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Sabol Jr. for 65 years; mother of Joseph (Cynthia) Sabol of McDonald, PA; grandmother of Andrew Joseph Sabol, Lauren (Matthew) Reick and Rachel Staley; great grandmother of Logan and Lyla Reick; and sister of the late John R. (wife Marlene survives) Kukta of North Huntingdon.

There will be No Visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., in St. Agnes Church, West Mifflin, with Rev. Dan D’Antonio officiating. Paul L. “Larry” Shultz, age 72, of Duquesne, passed away on September 7, 2024, in UPMC Presbyterian. Born in McKeesport on August 30, 1952, he was the son of the late Paul “Iggy” and Frances (Tachoir) Shultz. He was a mail carrier for the Postal Service and a member of St. Joseph Church of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish. He collected Hot Wheels cars, stamps, coins and Beatles music. He is survived by brothers and sisters, Kenneth W. Shultz of Alexandria, LA, Robert Shultz of Duquesne, Daniel (Linda) Shultz of Duquesne, Cathy (William) Leonard of Holly Springs, NC and Maryanne Shultz of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Mary E. Graham, age 65, of Duquesne, passed away on Monday, Labor Day, September 2, 2024, at UPMC Montefiore. Born in Braddock on March 26, 1959, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Andres) Garland. She was a former food service worker at Duquesne City School District and a graduate of West Mifflin North High School.

Mary is the mother of Tiffany Holman (Joe Yarborough Jr.) of Duquesne; sister of William (Bok) Garland of Lincoln Place, Margaret (late William) Ramsey of Whitaker, and Cindy (Mark) Williams of Tionesta; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Diane (husband John survives) Burke of Duquesne, James Garland, Robert Garland and Christie Garland.

Sharyn Conley Kelley Manns, of West Mifflin, passed away on September 2, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Helen Zuber Conley Kelley, James E. Conley (killed in action during World War II) and David E. Kelley. Wife of 54 years to the late Richard N. Manns, she is survived by children Kristyn Hunter, Courtney Moncavage and Michael David Manns (John); grandsons Justin and Zachary (Lauren) Hunter and Aiden Elias Moncavage; great grandchildren Jacie Layne, Zoey Eira, Stark and Reed Hunter…along with Zuber and Kelley cousins and Marie Sloss Kelley.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no viewing. A Memorial Service will take place at her final resting place in County Clare, Ireland.

Sean P. “Moose” Malloy, age 53, of Mt. Washington, formerly of Duquesne, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Born in McKeesport on November 13, 1970, he is the son of Fred Malloy of Elizabeth, PA and the late Nancy (McDonough) Malloy. He was a mail handler at U.S.P.S. Warrendale, a member of St. Philip Church, Crafton, was a computer geek, and enjoyed camping and driving. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving on the USS O'Brien during the Persian Gulf War.

Sean is the beloved husband of Tracy Schweitzer for 20 years and father of Isabella Malloy, at home. Besides his father, he is also survived by foster sons Adam “AJ” Ehrlichman of Brookline and Anthony Urban; brothers Kevin Malloy of Elizabeth, Michael Malloy of Elizabeth, Joe (Maribeth) Malloy of Carroll Twp., and Martin Malloy of Elizabeth and nieces Marissa, Melanie and Aubrei Malloy. He was predeceased by his sister, Noreen Malloy.

Harold R. “Archie,” “Honey” Bost, age 83, formerly of Larimer, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, in Centre Care, Bellefonte, PA. Born in Duquesne on July 21, 1940, he was the son of the late Harold and Sophie (Kapolka) Bost. He was a retired foreman from U.S. Steel Duquesne Works, Electric Furnace and also retired from Nabisco-Wilkinsburg as a Machinist. He proudly served his country in the Air Force Reserves. He liked woodworking and liked to tinker and re-wire anything that was broken. He also enjoyed flea markets.  He was the husband for 53 years to the late Marielania (Wood) Bost; father of Kathy (Harold) Bletz of Snow Shoe, PA; grandfather of Kelly Bletz; brother of Jack (late Phillis) Bost of West Mifflin, Jim (Wanda) Bost of North Carolina, Gerry (Cindy) Bost of Warren, PA, late Robert “Butch” (surviving spouse Fran) Bost of Bethel Park and late William E. (surviving spouse Linda) Bost of Munhall.  He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Thomas S. Odoski, age 77, of Duquesne, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024 in Veterans’ Administration Medical Center, Pittsburgh. Born in Duquesne on December 23, 1946, he was the son of the late John and Stella (Kruszka) Odoski. He was retired from U.S. Steel-Duquesne Works and from Picturesque Landscaping. He was a former member of St. Hedwig Church-Duquesne, enjoyed woodworking, and proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. 

Thomas is the beloved husband of Sharon (Zielinski) Odoski for 53 1/2 years; father of John Odoski of Butler, Michael (Roseann) Odoski of North Versailles and Nicholas Odoski of Duquesne; grandfather of Tony, Serena, Ryan (Beth), Justin and Ashley (Johnny); great grandfather of Abel, Josie, Bentley, Jocelyn, Amelia, Aurora, and Alexander; brother of John (late Jennie) Odoski of Baldwin and predeceased by other brothers and sisters; and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Joni S. Russell, age 68, of West Newton, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, in Excela Health System-Westmoreland Hospital. Born in McKeesport on October 22, 1955, she was the daughter of the late John J. and late Mary R. (Kapcin) Seman.

She was a graduate of West Mifflin High School-Class of 1973. She was employed at U.S. Steel-Homestead as one of the first female crane operators. After the layoff at U.S. Steel, she went to college to pursue a career in social services. She worked at Turtle Creek MH & MR and also did rehabilitation training at Goodwill Industries and United Cerebral Palsy. She also worked and retired as the seafood manager for Giant Eagle in North Huntingdon. Her true passion and love was animals. She put her talent to use at Fallen Timber Animal Shelter in Elizabeth, PA. Joni seemed to attract many dogs who were truly sick or unwanted and magically rejuvenated them so they could live a happy life in her care. Joni will be terribly missed by her pets-Curtis, Elka, Duke, Deja and Tater and also leaving 2 African Grey birds, Grady and Tapa.

Joni was the wife of the late James R. Russell; significant other of Edward Rogers; step mom of Kevin Rogers of Greensburg; sister of John P. (Lavon) Seman of Plum Boro, Janet T. Seman of North Huntingdon, Steven (Marybeth) Seman of West Mifflin and late Sharon Holland; aunt to Megan R. Seman of Monroeville, Jonathon Seman of Defiance, OH, Robert Lochner of Pittsburgh, Shawn and David Holland; sister-in-law of Deb (Scott) Kozel. She is also survived by numerous cousins.

Wayne R. Fleckenstein, age 76, of McKeesport, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in UPMC Presbyterian. Born in McKeesport on June  6, 1947, he was the son of the late Regis J. and Ethel (Cherpak) Fleckenstein. He was retired as a computer center manager at California University of Pennsylvania. He was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish, was a former commodore for the Sea Scouts, with an area from Maine to Maryland and Puerto Rico and was a former lay director and regional director for Cursillo. Wayne was the manager of the church hall and fish fry at St. Martin DePorres, president of the Holy Name Society at Mary Mother of God Parish and was also a cantor in Church. Above all else, he was a faithful servant of God. He proudly served his country in the Army as a Vietnam Era Veteran. 

 Wayne is the loving husband to Mary (Hock) Fleckenstein for 48 years; also a loving father to Julie (Daniel Hayes) Fleckenstein of Turtle Creek and the late Rev. Robert W. “Rob” Fleckenstein; brother of Dennis (Jane) Fleckenstein of Indianola, PA; and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in Braddock, PA on May 5, 1932, he was the son of the late Joseph Andrew and Susan Sophia (Ulias) Stankay. He was a retired pipe fitter from the LTV Corporation and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Sacred Heart Church. He ws a former member of the former St. Michael Church and Good Shepherd Church in Braddock. He proudly served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. 

 He is the brother of Vincent (Josephine) Stankay of West Palm Beach, FL. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Elmer (late Agnes) Stankay, Albert (late Olga) Stankay, Andrew B. (late Irene) Stankay, Florence (late Edward J.) Holas, and Martha (late Frank) Lipowcan. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Gloria Jean Hamilton, age 71, of Duquesne, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, in UPMC Magee. Born in Duquesne on July 18, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mary Lou (Ray) Hamilton.

She was retired from Foodland at Duquesne Village with 22 years of service, formerly worked at Kennywood, and volunteered at the Duquesne Family Support Center. She enjoyed bingo, going to the casino and loved animals

She is the mother of Arthur “Rick” (Kathryn) Hamilton of Harrington, DE and James “Jimmy” (Tamla) Leftwich of West Mifflin; grandmother of Jamai Leftwich, Codey Hamilton, Tahlor Leftwich, Arthur “Rick” Hamilton Jr., Ashton Hamilton, Gracie Mae Hamilton, and Ivy Leftwich; great grandmother of Ambri Leftwich; sister of Donald Hamilton of Duquesne, Mary Carman of Duquesne, Jackie Mehrmann of Duquesne, late Doris “Dee Dee” Hamilton and late Patricia Leatherwood.

Mark Brady, age 63, of Duquesne, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, in Forbes Hospital. Born in McKeesport on August 27, 1960, he was the son of the late Donald W. and Doris (Ignat) Brady. 

 He was a retired welder at Hantz Locomotive and Dura Bond and formerly worked as a bartender at the T M Club in Duquesne. He proudly served his country in the Navy. He was a former member of the former Holy Name Church of Christ the Light of the World Paris, enjoyed bowling, fishing, building cabinets, watching sports, and spending time with his family and his dogs.

He is the beloved husband of 30 years to Vicki (Scharer) Brady; father of Melissa (Kevin) Russell of Kalamazoo, MI; step father of Christopher (girlfriend, Jen Vasy) Kisiel of Duquesne and Nicholas Kisiel of Munhall; grandfather of Emerson and Elijah Russell; brother of Donald Brady of Duquesne and Victoria (Kern) Little of Indian Head, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Mary Catherine Nebinski, age 85, of West Mifflin, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Jefferson Hospital. Born in Homestead, PA on May 22, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine (Bost) Noll.

 She was a former supervisor for S&S Shoes in McKeesport and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-St. Agnes Church. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She loved taking care of her family and cooking. 

 Mary Catherine is the wife of Richard T. Nebinski for 60 years. She is the mother of Richard (Terri) Nebinski of Scottdale, Robert Nebinski of West Mifflin, and Donna (Bobby) Kleist of West Mifflin; grandmother of Philip (Meghan) Lepolt, Courtney (Shawn) Kleist, Nicholas (Maria) Kleist, and Jake Nebinski; great grandmother of Sage Michael Hone; sister of Judy Cramer of Baltimore, MD and her twin sister Joanne (late Ronald) Connelly of North Carolina. She is also survived by niece Judy and nephew Billy and other nieces and nephews.
